The Homemade Wedding

Adventures in a D.I.Y pre-marital process. Saturday, 11 August 2012. After sewing my side seams in the voile I had to remove the thread tracing. It shows here why its nice to do the thread ends away from the seam well into the seam allowance - You can just snip close to the knotting and know that it will be cut away when it comes to hot knife cutting the seam allowance. Heres a close up of the finished seams (before ironing) - no knots, no fraying. Friday, 10 August 2012. Get your fabric and ruler ready.

The Homemade Wedding: Bridesmaids' fur shrugs completed!

http://www.thehomemadewedding.blogspot.com/2012/08/bridesmaids-fur-shrugs-completed.html

Adventures in a D.I.Y pre-marital process. Friday, 3 August 2012. Bridesmaids' fur shrugs completed! All cut out, darts sewn, and ready to go. Simply sewn around the edges, leaving a gap at the bottom. Then Notches and slits so that the curves will work properly once turned right way out. All four turned the right way out - I only need three for the bridesmaids so I'm going to try to sell one! Last thing to do was to hand sew the small hole left from turning closed. The Homemade Wedding: April 2012

http://www.thehomemadewedding.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html

Adventures in a D.I.Y pre-marital process. Sunday, 29 April 2012. Here is the back section with 2 layers of organza (It dulls down the golden colour to more of a cream). I experimented a lot with roughly cut out lace motifs and have pinned them in the final placement. The edges will be trimmed with the scallop edge of my lace, and the motifs will be sewn to all three layers which creates a bit of depth. Saturday, 28 April 2012. Cutting into the REAL fabric! I trimmed the excess fabric, pinned and thread ...

Kim Crafts!: Other Crafting

http://kimberlyanncrafts.blogspot.com/2012/07/other-crafting.html

Wednesday, 18 July 2012. I've started to drift into the habit of updating my blogs with several posts in one go. I backdate the posts to the time when I actually did something/ completed something/ made something. I hope this doesn't confuse anyone! I'd also like to say that as well as this crafts blog I also two other craft related blogs ongoing:. My wedding blog - It details what I'm making/sewing/doing for my handmade wedding. It may have posts that readers of this blog might like to read.
