The (Hopefully) Shrinking Me

The (Hopefully) Shrinking Me. Monday, April 9, 2012. Day 1 (Part Deux): Wrestling a Kodiak Bear. April 9, 2012. I really think there is profound truth to the saying ignorance is bliss. I wonder if Christopher Columbus would have been so eager to start off on his new adventure to the New World if he really knew what had laid ahead of him. I wonder if we Americans would have supported the invasion of Baghdad if we knew there were no WMDs. Okay, so the last one is a bit of a stretch. or is it? April 3, 2012.

The (Hopefully) Shrinking Me: Here We Go... Again?!?!?!

http://www.thehopefullyshrinkingme.blogspot.com/2012/04/here-we-go-again.html

The (Hopefully) Shrinking Me. Tuesday, April 3, 2012. Here We Go. Again? April 3, 2012. Well, it's no secret that I pretty much abandoned this blog (and diet) faster than a Frenchman runs away from any resemblance of conflict. I could try and make excuses and I could try and pass the blame, but the reality is once I started reintroducing all the foods I had cut out of my diet, I lost all semblance of self-control. I went down faster than Goose and Maverick in an out of control F-14 and never recovered.

The (Hopefully) Shrinking Me. Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Day 22: In The Beginning, There Was Wheat. February 1, 2011. Net Loss: 18.6lbs. Well, the detox period is officially over. I made it. Three weeks, and I actually survived. If you read yesterday's post, you'll know it was touch and go towards the end there. But I persevered and finished strong. Not to mention the other benefits I've reaped from this process. The second question she asked us was whether we had fallen off the wagon more than three...

If Ive learned anything from DC Comics, its that there are certain things in life that render even Superman powerless. For him, it was a glowing green orb of cosmic proportions. He wasnt from this earth, so why should the thing that immobilizes him be? Posted by Erik J. Lundeen. Wednesday, February 2, 2011. Day 23: Opening The Floodgates. February 2, 2011. Five Cooks in The Kitchen. No, it's not a blog about cooking…. A Little About Us. Monthly Archives: March 2011. We survived the winter! Wow I really detest the winter months. From January through March. But luckily we made it through relatively well. Kylee and Mataya have been battling coughs and fevers and whatever else for about a month now! I had about a week and a half that was down, and that was no fun! Thankfully Pen never got anything! For my girls who just want to cuddle and sit on my lap when th...

Five Cooks in The Kitchen. No, it's not a blog about cooking…. A Little About Us. Just a quick update! We had our 12 week appointment today. We were not expecting to get to see baby today. But we were all very excited to get to hear baby’s heartbeat! So we went through all the normal stuff. Is it wrong that I was actually happy I lost a little weight? I’m having a harder time then expected at the idea of having to gain back pretty much everything I just worked so hard to lose! Coming soon……. You are comm...

Five Cooks in The Kitchen. No, it's not a blog about cooking…. A Little About Us. Monthly Archives: December 2012. Ok so technically it’s not the new year till midnight tonight, but I can post about it now. Who cares right? 2012 was a great year for us! Challenging definitely, but great. We are now going into 2013 totally adjusted to 3 kids, (and even starting to think about #4). I am so excited for this new year and what it has to offer! Five Cooks in The Kitchen. No, it's not a blog about cooking…. A Little About Us. As cliche` as it sounds, life is full of twists and turns. Anyone who has a memory longer than two seconds knows this to be fact. Sometimes the turns along the proverbial path of life are ones we’ve anticipated or maybe even seen coming. Others are seemingly veiled from us and take us by surprise. Moreover, our response to these twists are different each time. I continued to trudge on stopping periodically to yield to my st...

The Myth of Progress. Posted by Bryan Tarpley. Among the more damaging myths embedded in the cultural milieu of the West is the myth of progress, and more specifically, the myth that some people are more advanced than others. At it's broadest scope, this myth manifests itself as a criteria by which other nations are judged. Western nations deploy the word. And its iPhone 4 equipped competitors are now inferior in tangible ways. Tuesday, October 18, 2011. Posted by Bryan Tarpley. There is obvious danger i...
