Monday, September 22, 2008. After multiple forgettings of my password (and user name for that matter), the HVs of VA are back! School has started and I am trying my best to keep this blog updated - starting tonight anyway. My goal is to update once a week, so here we go. Saturday, July 26, 2008. Katie loves to do things with her Daddy, especially play outside. Stephan bought her a lawnmower so she could mow the yard just like him. Interestingly though, Daddy's lawnmower does not usually blow bubbles when it's in use. This morning while we were enjoying our coffee, Katie tried on some "shoes". It took her a minute to discover the first "shoe" she picked up wasn't exactly one for her foot. I called Stephan that night and told him to pack our stuff - I want to move to Boston.

Yesterday I heard all the proof I need to know that the name fits. This week is Spirit Week at school. When Madeline asked what tomorrow was, I informed her it was wacky-tacky day, which means they were suppose to wear clothes that did not match. Her answer? I'm not doing that, I'm wearing a dress.". The first one was about 5-6 inches and kept us in the house for 2 days and the second one was about 2 inches, but the roads remained clear! Here are some pics of the first snow. I don't have any pics of snow #2 cause it melted away too fast.but not before I was able to scoop up enough to earn another punch on my southern card (as my hubby would say) by making some snow cream! We had a GREAT time visiting more of the Joyce Clan, relaxin' by the pool, eating spectacular food and some surprises in the French Quarter,. We hit some hard rain in Alabama.in fact a SUV hydroplaned and spun across the interstate and ended up in the swampy median right in front of us. I was driving and my heart stopped! We found this awesome picket fence bed frame on Craigslist (LOVE me some CL.) and after many frustrating hours of mattress shopping, her bed is finally complete.
