Thursday, April 8, 2010. Flight information, general info. For most of the time I'm going to be staying at Snorri's uncle's house, Snorri's the one I stayed with while in Iceland. Then on the weekend I'll be staying at a hotel because we'll be going to an event in the city that would be too troublesome to go and come back all the time from. Saturday, January 15, 2011. 50 g bráðið smjörlíki / melted butter. 1 pakki þurrger / package yeast. 189; tsk. salt. 1 Allt nema pulsunar hrærist saman og látið hefa í hálftíma. / Everything except the sausages/hotdogs stir together and leave alone for half an hour. 2 Deigið flatt út og skorið í "pizzu sneiðar", hálfri pulsu vafið inn í hverja sneið. / Flatten out the dough and slice into "pizza slices", half a sausage wrapped in each slice. 3 Penslist með eggi / Brush with egg. Tómatsósa / tomato sauce. 1 Brúnið laukinn í smjörinu, bætið karrý útí og bakið upp sósu með hveitinu. / Brown the onions in butter, add curry and bake sauce with the flour. 2 Bætið rjómanum útí / Add the cream. ("samkvæmt") leiðbeiningum á pakkanum / Boil the pasta according to the instructions on the package. 2 Skerið beikonið í litla bita og steikið á pönnu / Cut the bacon into little bits and fry on pan. 3 Saxið laukinn og steikið með beikoninu / Mince onion and fry with the bacon. Sunday, December 18, 2011. These are photos from the day we went to Skansen, a zoo that also has a bunch of old houses. Stairway in Jox's house. The house used to be super small and Jox's parents have expanded it and fixed it up a lot. Pajama drawstring pants I bought. This is the biggest hunk of cheese I've ever seen! To the right of it is pomegranate juice. The milk cartons have a lot of stuff on them, like jokes, recipes, the meanings of obscure/new words. The Santa happy and nice fetches everything.

Rauður matarlitur / red food colouring. 1setjið þurrefni saman í skál og dálítið af mjólk út í / Set solids together in bowl and pour a little milk into it. 2bætið eggjum og vanilludropum í skálina / add the eggs and vanilla to the bowl. 3bráðnu smjörlíki helt út í / Add the melted margarine in. 5bætið matarlit út í / Add food colouring in. Monday, January 24, 2011. Gómsæt en einföld bláberjakaka / delicious but simple blueberry cake. 1 bréf möndlur (bestar lifrænar) / 1 packet almonds (best organic). 1 packet is a handful or two. Tæpur bolli rúsínur / less than a cup raisins. 1-2 bollar frosin bláber / 1-2 cups frozen blueberries. Maukið möndlur og rúsínur saman í matvinnsluvél og setjið í botn á kökudiski. / Pureé almonds and raisins together in a food processor and set them in the bottom of the cake pan.
