The Imaginant

Friday, May 31, 2013. Sweet, simple baby cards. I haven't done much crafting this spring, but it's certainly baby season! One friend has {finally} announced that she's pregnant, and another friend recently gave birth to her second child (who is a total cutie, by the way). These are the two cards I made for them. Sorry, no supplies listed.). Posted by Julie Aldridge. Saturday, May 25, 2013. Action 1: painting the living room. Then my sister and her friend visited, and we went fabric shopping. The plan...

The Imaginant: June 2012

http://theimaginant.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html

Monday, June 11, 2012. RIC#13 - House of Holland Challenge. The Runway Inspired Challenge this week is a brightly colored houndstooth piece by House of Holland. Not being one to pass up a houndstooth challenge, I began misting and highlighting and coloring my glittery B&W paper to resemble the outfit on the model. I finished last night but had to wait until this evening to take pictures in the sun. I'm extraordinarily happy the sun is out late these days. Bring me sunshine any day of the week! My goal is...

Wednesday, August 8, 2012. All in the Design. This might be one of my favorites pages of all time. It mimics a sleek photo-book but has the 3D elements of traditional scrapbooking. My illustration of simplicity: LOADS of pictures on a page with little product and no journaling and delighfully lovely. Materials: picnic basket/PB&J paper by Basic Gray, American Crafts Thickers, scrap paper from my stash for the flag. Posted by Julie Aldridge. Monday, August 6, 2012. Simple Scrapper August Blog Hop! http://theimaginant.blogspot.com/2013/04/scrapbook-trends-publication.html

Monday, April 1, 2013. Last month, one of my favorite pages was published in Scrapbook Trends! This is my cover page for my 2011 album- a quick visual summary of my visitors, experiences, and the daily grind. Some experiences are shown in pictures, others represented by stickers, but either way, 2011 is summarized colorfully in my favorite style: clean, simple, bright, and graphic. Materials: Upcycle/Re:Design Paper by Cosmo Cricket (pink); Black. Washi Tape by Amuse and Sweet Bella; Alpha Thickers by Amy.

Monday, April 30, 2012. CKC Goodies Part II. With a weekend to play with the goodies from CKC, I've been busy creating. My first project upon return was layout #1 that I started in the class. My first quick-fire creation wasn't cutting it. That, and I wanted to use some of my new goodies and. Fit a second page with more pictures. So I re-did it with the paper they gave us and some of my new stash. The "be happy" is letterpress: get excited. Posted by Julie Aldridge. Saturday, April 28, 2012. SEI was havi...

Brian & Sus: March 2012

http://brianandsus.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html

Thursday, March 29, 2012. Cute as a button. It's hard to get a good picture of AB when she's focused on eating her dress. It must be delicious? Monday, March 26, 2012. Annabella loves to play the piano. She smiles and laughs while she bangs on the keys. Music(ish) to our ears! Wednesday, March 21, 2012. Our neighbor, Tripp, came over to play the other day. His daddy needed to mow the lawn, so AB and I got to snuggle/play with an almost 4 month old. Sunday, March 18, 2012. Saturday, March 17, 2012. 4:30 p...

Brian & Sus: October 2012

http://brianandsus.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html

Saturday, October 20, 2012. Since the weather has cooled off and the leaves have started to fall, we've been spending our evenings outdoors. AB loves to pick up leaves and put them in her "basket". We spend at least an hour outside each evening looking for rocks and leaves. It's kind of like going on a treasure hunt, except there is treasure everywhere. She's also big on greeting the neighbors, so we've met everyone in a 10 house radius. She's a friendly kid, that Annabella. Thursday, October 18, 2012.

Brian & Sus: December 2012

http://brianandsus.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html

Thursday, December 6, 2012. 19 months and counting. There is so much personality in your little body, I can hardly stand it sometimes. Right after you turned 18 months old you said your first sentence, "I see you". We were playing peek-a-boo over your walker, and as you popped your head up over the handlebar, you said, "I see you"! I can't get enough of you, and praise God every day for picking me to be your momma. Peanut-buttery hugs and kisses,. More picture hopefully coming soon. . . .

Saturday, December 17, 2011. O, Christmas tree. Wednesday, December 14, 2011. Brian's family recently had some family pictures taken. It was a thrilling experience attempting to get two babies to look in the direction of the camera. We didn't know how they would turn out, but we have lots of pictures that are wonderful! Great-Grandma and her great-grans. Those tongues crack me up. Monday, December 12, 2011. Nana's Christmas card picture. Sunday, December 11, 2011. We love our little bee. We also traveled...

Brian & Sus: January 2014

http://brianandsus.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html

Thursday, January 2, 2014. When I think about you, I know that miracles happen. Your daddy and I are so thankful for you. We are thankful for your sweet little toes, chubby cheeks, precious grin, and bright blue eyes. We're thankful for your health, and that we are getting to enjoy you, our son. You were due in June, but arrived in March. You were an itty bitty baby, and perfect. In every way. You spent 53 days in the NICU, and came home for the first time on May 18th. What a joyful day!

Brian & Sus: April 2012

Tuesday, April 24, 2012. Our little Bels is one. It's hard to believe that her birthday has come and gone,. But my goodness, it was a wonderful birthday weekend! We had two parties for our birthday girl. Her first party was on Saturday, April 21st, and we invited family. Annabella had the best time being passed from one set of loving arms to the next. She is definitely a 'people person', and loves to make everyone laugh. Have been a little over the top. At 7:30, Brian, Annabella and I all snuggled in...

Monday, August 20, 2012. Going for a stroll. Just going for a morning stroll around the neighborhood. Sunday, August 19, 2012. A really wonderful weekend. Brian had has three days off from work, which has been AMAZING. We decided to celebrate by taking Annabella for her first trip to the zoo. I wasn't sure if Bels would care about the animals or not, but she really seemed to enjoy herself. Checking out the kangaroos with Mom. Eating a quick snack and scoping out the elephants with Dad. Brian & Sus: February 2012

http://brianandsus.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Wednesday, February 29, 2012. In the month of February. . . Annabella celebrated her first Valentine's Day, and had a wonderful time. She sported her new Valentine's Day outfit and received roses and a sweet card from her daddy. She discovered her love of finger foods. She might actually enjoy finger foods more than baby food. Annabella had plenty of visitors (and she still loves books). She enjoyed snuggling all four of her grandparents this past month. Grandmother brought my (maybe my brother's? When w...

THE IMAGINAL CELL - Observations & Offerings

Join the conversation on facebook. Still has not quite ended. Last month, as we traveled, the evidence of environmental degradation was apparent. We saw lakes barely filled, dry river beds, forests decimated by bark beetle, haze in the air covering hundreds and hundreds of miles. We also saw abundant new growth, and aspen leaves turning to gold coins that glittered in the sunlight, moving like sequins through the breeze. We saw wildlife, and waterfalls. We saw infinite earth and endless skies. Rdquo; the...

The Imaginarator | A place where the products of my mindless imagination come alive. Or not.

A place where the products of my mindless imagination come alive. Or not. The purpose of life. August 16, 2014. This is a pic of a birthday card that I thought was meaningful. It’s August already? I can’t believe it. I had a long well-deserved vacation in July and in that time I learned so much about myself. Now I feel I know my likes and dislikes even better than before. I’m starting to grow into my own person and I no longer have that fear of not fitting in with others. Why? Because life is short!
