Knitting and Crocheting Cyclone: Backyard Dreamin'
http://knitting-crochetingcyclone.blogspot.com/2011/09/backyard-dreamin.html
Thursday, September 22, 2011. So we're going to pack up our things, drag them across town, and settle into a new home. There are so many things that I love about our new house, but I've gotta admit, the backyard is my favorite. It is large enough to accomodate even our ambitious gardening plans, it has a collection of lovely shade trees close to the house, and plenty of open space in the back for some sun-worshipping plants. Knitting and Crocheting Cyclone: November 2011
http://knitting-crochetingcyclone.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 9, 2011. Moving into the new house went well, and we're loving everything about it so far. Based on our desire to make some big changes and do lots of urban farming at the new house, I've started a new blog with my husband about our adventures. You should check it out:. I'm not ready to say that I'm totally giving up on this blog yet, but I probably won't be posting here very frequently. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Knitting and Crocheting Cyclone: June 2011
http://knitting-crochetingcyclone.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 21, 2011. They Are (Not) Who We Thought They Were. I've got what you've all been waiting for: Another worm post! I've been composting for about 4 months, and the worms have been doing remarkably well. The population has boomed, we've taken a batch of finished compost to the garden, and the bin can now process all of the compostable food scraps that we typically generate in our house. Eisenia fetida (Red Wriggler). Perionyx excavatus (Blue Worms). These guys don't have the striped apprearanc...

Knitting and Crocheting Cyclone: May 2011
http://knitting-crochetingcyclone.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 26, 2011. I have great news to share! Greg and I will be able to do more gardening than we had expected, because now we have more space in which to grow things! We recently learned that the Community Garden has a limit of two plots per household. Not one, but two! As long as you have the time and desire to garden a second plot, and you wait for your fair turn on the waiting list, you can have a second plot. Oh, happy day! Should we pick out some new crops? Tuesday, May 17, 2011. As I've pro...

DaisyChains: Positive Attitude
http://jdaisychains.blogspot.com/2012/01/positive-attitude.html
Tuesday, January 3, 2012. Happiness is an attitude. We either make ourselves miserable, or happy and strong. The amount of work is the same. Francesca Reigler. January 3, 2012 at 2:52 PM. You are such an inspiration in this area. It is super hard to stay positive but I have been actively working on this over the last month and WHAT a difference it has made. It is a lot of work at first but SO worth it in the end. Being miserable can take a lot of work too.so why not be happy instead. Are you an athlete?

My Runchey Life: Monday Night Party
http://myruncheylife.blogspot.com/2012/02/monday-night-party.html
Knit Bake. Repeat. Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Our awesome neighbors Ricky and Kelly had a party yesterday. It was a day long brewing party. We headed over after work to check out what they were brewing. I stuck to cider, because as I have previously noted, the rum raisin cider is the best cider I have ever had. I also tired the vanilla cream, which was like a lighter version of the Breckenridge Vanilla Porter. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Meal or No Meal?

My Runchey Life: Classy Lamp
http://myruncheylife.blogspot.com/2012/08/classy-lamp.html
Knit Bake. Repeat. Sunday, August 19, 2012. I've had an ugly lamp in my possession all of my adult life. It was in my house growing up. I'm sure it wasn't ugly when my parent's bought the lamp. But 40 or so year years later the lamp was looking pretty dated. The entire time I've lived in my house the lamp has been in the basement. I couldn't bring myself to give it up. I knew it had potential. It's now a shiny light blue. It is my new bedside lamp. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Meal or No Meal?

Knitting and Crocheting Cyclone: December 2010
http://knitting-crochetingcyclone.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 3, 2010. Despite it all, I'm still knitting. It just occured to me that I haven't posted about knitting in quite a while. Well, even though I've been crazy busy, I'm still making time to knit. I can't really concentrate on anything more complicated than a basic 2x2 ribbed sock, but I'd probably go crazy without it. DaisyChains: January 2012
http://jdaisychains.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 31, 2012. We have all been through one hell of a year since the last January retreat that we have all attended. It was time that was needed to let loose and bond. All while working on a favorite hobby. So this post is to friends, a value can never be placed on feeling at home with such a great group of women! I feel so blessed and grateful to have found such a strong group of women to call my friends. My favorite question of the weekend "What animal are you going to flounce as? Working o...
