A Documentary by David Shotlander. In 2005, my wife and I travelled from Montréal, Canada, to Changsha, China, and finally met our daughter for the first time. However, our journey began well before that special day. We decided to take took a camera along for the ride, because we had realized early on that our little world was completely foreign to most people, and we wanted to open it up to them. The result will be a documentary exploring the reality, myths, joys and sorrows of international adoption.
