Lorac Baked Matte Satin Blush “Plush” Swatch & Review | Beauty From Another Planet
https://beautyfromanotherplanet.wordpress.com/2011/02/17/lorac-baked-matte-satin-blush-plush-swatch-review
Beauty From Another Planet. Beauty and Fashion For the Fringe. Lorac Baked Matte Satin Blush “Plush” Swatch & Review. I originally wanted to try some blushes from Benefit because I have none but I decided I wanted something more matte. I actually don’t have anything against shimmery blush, it’s just that Meow and other mineral companies have that covered for much less money! Plush (in light from sunlight bulb). Flattering. It took lots of blending and fussing with it to get it looking decent but once...

Jade likes words: May 2011
http://jadelikeswords.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Comics, novels, soup cans. I'll be on one of them before I kick it. Monday, May 30, 2011. I'm Jade Carver (my puneriffic pseudonym) and I blog about makeup and girly things over at Jade goes with everything. I'm going to start with cross-posting all relevant bits from my other blog, and then hopefully I'll start being able to review the stacks of stuff I have read recently, and I'll catch up with my unread pile. I blame it on university - usually I read something as soon as I get my hands on it. I'm a re...

The Wall of Nerd: January 2011
http://wallofnerd.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
2 The King's Speech. 3 Scott Pilgrim vs the World. 4 The Blind Side. 5 The Social Network. I got to admit, I wasn't planning on liking this one. How good could it be? A movie about some douchey nerd who made some website (that I am painfully reliant on for my day-to-day dealings)? 7 Toy Story 3. Remember my weakness for uplifting sporting movies? Combine that with my weakness for uplifting horse movies. BAM! 10 The A Team. SPEAKING of dopey boofhead movies! How To Train Your Dragon. It's probably super c...

The Wall of Nerd: Supanova 2011: Supastar Guests
http://wallofnerd.blogspot.com/2011/07/supanova-2011-supastar-guests.html
Supanova 2011: Supastar Guests. We have reached the final post of my Supanova wrap up, which I've deliberately left til last cause I'm slack and I knew it would be a big undertaking. But first, before I go any further:. Yep Ok. Now, with that out of the way, pop below the cut to see my wrap-up of the celebrity-laden part of my Supanova experience. The day started off relatively early (9.30am on a weekend is incredibly early for me, okay? Gels on all our flashes! But I did not survive the GDL encounter as...

The Wall of Nerd: July 2011
http://wallofnerd.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
The one time it's not cool to be a Jedi Knight. Now, it's not very often that I talk about Serious Things on here, but I've had to take a bit of a detour on this particular issue (though essentially, it's still pretty nerdy, woo! On the 9th of August Australians will take part in the Census, something that I didn't really give a shit about until I started watching Who Do You Think You Are. And they were getting all this bitchin' info from the Census like 200 years ago. Barrowman. And Rainbows. We have re...

The Wall of Nerd: Sunday HNNNG #2
http://wallofnerd.blogspot.com/2011/08/sunday-hnnng-2.html
A somewhat belated Sunday HNNNG, but it's still Sunday in.Honolulu. So it's technically still okay. You may notice there has been a couple of weeks in between hnnngs. I did originally plan to make it a weekly event, but nothing really stood out to me as a true hnnng in the last fortnight. You may be aware of my recent minor infatuation with Michael Fassbender. HNNNG Head on over to the W Magazine website. August 8, 2011 at 4:01 PM. OOooer. My eyes are ovulating. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Pop cu...

The Wall of Nerd: June 2011
http://wallofnerd.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Im going to split up my Supanova coverage into three or four posts, as if I do it all in one post it will be super gigantic, and the photos of the cosplayers and whatnot wont be in the paper til Thursday (the paper gets to publish everything first, so despite how much I totally want to bombard you with event photos, itll have to wait). One thing the paper DOESNT give a rats ass about is photos of my phat lootz! Hopefully there will be free drinks. I'd expect free drinks for the price. Kiss My Camera 2011.

The Wall of Nerd: Kiva Karma
http://wallofnerd.blogspot.com/2011/08/kiva-karma.html
A few months ago I decided once and for all that World of Warcraft was not for me. I barely touched it in the months after Christmas, and despite getting back into it for a little while in April it seemed like a bit of a waste of money. Around the same time I was contemplating kicking WoW to the curb, I heard about Kiva. I've currently got two loans on the go:. And gave money. No matter how ridiculous the motivation, all the dollars count. To check out Kiva and sign up if you wish. Go on! From Oxfam, may...

The Wall of Nerd: May 2010
http://wallofnerd.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Happy John Barrowman Day! While the origins of John Barrowman Day are less than heroic (we discovered that John Barrowman had a CD, we gathered together to listen to it and had a wonderful time, and thus it was decided we would come together on May 12 every year to celebrate the general awesomeness that resulted from John Barrowman), the main thing is the CELEBRATION of John Barrowman Day. John Barrowman SINGS THE HITS! John Barrowman shoots LASERS out of his fucking HANDS! He also made out with some oth...

The Wall of Nerd: Kickin' It Old School
http://wallofnerd.blogspot.com/2011/08/kickin-it-old-school.html
Kickin' It Old School. The other day I discovered a stack of books that caused me nothing but pain and torture in days gone by. Yes, that's right. REQUIRED READING MATERIAL. I did English Literature in high school, which was wonderful in that it started my life-long love of Shakespeare, but bad in the respect that it was brain-smashingly hard and almost resulted in me failing Year 12. Let's have a look at what we've got:. The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood. Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad. Africa&...
