October 13, 2011. Thanksgiving has come and gone, that is, if you live in the great white North, but I still want to take this time to be thankful, gracious, and grateful. After all, if I publicly declare how much I love fall (impending inclement weather and hazardous road conditions forthcoming), getting older (how does one really handle simultaneous wrinkles, zits, dry patches and oily skin? Pumpkin Spiced Latte Cake. 3 C all purpose flour. 2 tsp baking powder. 1 tsp baking soda. 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice.

The Intersection of Design and Motherhood. November 22, 2010. I’m so pleased to share our first gift DIY of the season. Maude made these fantastic monogrammed mugs over the weekend. Don’t they look terrific? The idea came when we saw these fun initial cups at Anthropologie. And remembered our kitchen was lacking in hot cocoa mugs. We decided to create a whole set. And a print out with the family’s initials. For the font, I had something very specific in mind. I love the look of this Sketch Block Font.

Maybe it’s the way I choose to celebrate the day that encourages my anticipation and fanciness. I spend hours planning, decorating and yes, even crafting. And I do.
