The Woolly Adventures of a Knitting Kitty

The Woolly Adventures of a Knitting Kitty. Wednesday, 12 August 2015. But all in all, I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. What have you been busy creating lately? Sunday, 9 August 2015. I have been 'promoted' to a soft splint, which allows me a little more movement, so I have been sneaking in the odd round of sock knitting! Last week, my friend Diane came up from Devon for a couple of days. You may remember me teaching her to knit socks. Earlier in the year, and crochet basics. Not only was she in...

The Woolly Adventures of a Knitting Kitty: October 2014

http://theknittingexploitsofjosiekitten.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

The Woolly Adventures of a Knitting Kitty. Friday, 31 October 2014. By the magic of the Internet, I am posting this while travelling back to Norfolk! I have a pair of spooky socks on the needles - Roxy socks. In a fun self striping yarn. In the colourway 'Leaky Cauldron'. It was a lovely gift from a knitting friend, Judy. It's currently nestling in my Zombies bag from ThreeBagsFull. I love the print! The lining is great fun - when you open the bag, hundreds of pairs of zombie eyes are staring at you!

The Woolly Adventures of a Knitting Kitty: February 2015

http://theknittingexploitsofjosiekitten.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html

The Woolly Adventures of a Knitting Kitty. Sunday, 22 February 2015. Normal blogging service has resumed! Here we are, Sunday evening already and half term is almost over. I have very much enjoyed the week off, pottering about each day. Of course I had great plans to get started on writing my school reports (hahaha! But somehow I always managed to find something more appealing to do instead. So how did I spend my week? I have joined a KAL in the Tangled Yarn. Here's a progress photo. It doesn't look ...

The Woolly Adventures of a Knitting Kitty: Progress

http://theknittingexploitsofjosiekitten.blogspot.com/2015/08/progress.html

The Woolly Adventures of a Knitting Kitty. Sunday, 9 August 2015. I have been 'promoted' to a soft splint, which allows me a little more movement, so I have been sneaking in the odd round of sock knitting! I have to apply an icepack to my wrist four times a day to try and reduce the swelling, but I am hoping that it is on the mend. Fingers crossed. I am desperately trying to finish a pair of socks for Wolfgang as our trip to Germany is coming ever closer! Earlier in the year, and crochet basics. Yesterda...

The Woolly Adventures of a Knitting Kitty: Heading off to the sun

http://theknittingexploitsofjosiekitten.blogspot.com/2015/05/heading-off-to-sun.html

The Woolly Adventures of a Knitting Kitty. Friday, 22 May 2015. Heading off to the sun. Mr JK and I are off to the Greek island of Kos tomorrow and I cannot wait! Flo led us a merry dance in her attempt to avoid going to her cat hotel, but she is there now, safe and sound! I am hoping that there will be plenty of this . I am sure we will find a cat family to adopt for the week too and we have plenty of supplies to keep them wined and dined! See you in a week. xxx. Have a real lovely time! And the date is .

Poppies that what we’ll do | No place like home

https://theresnoplace.wordpress.com/2014/05/05/poppies-that-what-well-do

No place like home. Knit, sew, garden create. Poppies that what we’ll do. Red as the field of poppies, when I saw this fab yarn I knew I had to have it. Posh Betsy DK is such a lovely yarn to knit with, it slides through your fingers. I slightly adapted Thea Colman’s Cape Cod and did three quarter sleeves instead of full. May 5, 2014. No place like home. Knit, sew, garden create. The wool came from Artifibers from San Francisco, sadly now closed. The mix of the yarn is mohair and silk and the weight makes it sit nicely on my shoulders. Ruby Slippers | No place like home

https://theresnoplace.wordpress.com/2014/05/05/ruby-slippers

No place like home. Knit, sew, garden create. Well everyone needs a pair or two. I am still cursing the day I walked away from the most beautiful Ruby Slippers I have ever seen. I have searched high and low for a pair of these shoes seen and tried on in Russell and Bromley of all places. Still I now have a pair of something even better – Ruby Slipper socks. Comfy and for wearing around the house when I get home from work and I am home. May 5, 2014. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

My passion for life, love and wool. New Project - Crochet Birthday Blanket. For my cousins birthday I am making her a crochet granny square blanket, it is a special birthday after all - Jenny will be 30 and I know she loves crafting so I thought she would like a handmade blanket to keep her warm and snugly. I picked some lovely autumy colours for this blanket as I know these are her favourite colours. I have maroon, cream, green and grey, and have decided to edge them all in lovely chocolate brown!

My passion for life, love and wool. Crochet Cushion Progress, Slow but Progress! I keep picking this project up and putting it down (I think I good at multi-tasking working on many projects at the same time but actually it takes so long to get anything finished! I have so many beautiful crochet projects on the go - what is a girl to do? I have crocheted the squares together for one side of my cushion. Note to self: Try finishing one project at a time - it might just work! 28 March 2011 at 07:26.

I looked over my projects that I finished in 2014. I thought I had done so much knitting and I still believe that to be true but I obviously didn't actually finish enough projects. There are such a measly few and small ones too! I'm going to be more determined to finish projects in the next year! And one of them WILL be a sweater! 4 Run a 5k.

Wednesday, January 6, 2010. Knitting Resolution: Cleaning Out the Project Stash. As those who knit with me may know, I don't have a traditional knitter's stash of yarns. Don't get me wrong - I have more than a skein or two around the house. It's not so much that I don't. Have a yarn stash - instead, I have a very impressive stash of another kind: a project stash. Unfortunately, my weekly trips to the LYS. Result in plenty of projects getting started. One might even say too many. Without any further ado.

The Knitting Fairy Lady. Feel free to leave a comment! Monday, March 24, 2008. Pictures and a Birthday! Well, I decided that one of the finished dresses didn't look right, and when I went over the pattern and compared it to the picture, the straps were all wrong! It said make the straps 5 inches above the division, but there are two of them, and I used the second division! This 2 year old's dress fits me as a top! I won't be wearing it though, so don't worry! The Knitting File

Wednesday, January 23, 2008. I've become a disappointing blogger. No, my love for knitting has not at all waned. I have been juggling work and a new semester of school on top of my knitting addiction! A friend of mine saw me wearing my calico scarf and asked what store it came from. When I told her that I made it, she could not believe how quickly my knitting skills have improved! What a great compliment. :). My addiction for yarn is unhealthy! Monday, December 31, 2007.
