Our adventures in life and parenthood. June 21, 2013. Asher has been dabbling in food (literally and figuratively! For about a month now. He only gets a taste here and there, as breast milk is still his primary source of calories and will be until about the age of one. Our adventures in life and parenthood. August 16, 2013. Asher had his 9 month check-up today and was a total champ–despite the awful job the PA did with the finger prick to test his iron levels. I have never seen so much blood from a finger. There were a lot of tears, but he recovered quickly. Asher is now 18 pounds, 10 ounces and 18.75 inches long, both perfect for his growth curve. Learning a new language is always tough. I've got three years working on Kaqchikel and I'm just getting to where I don't have to have a translator.
