April 7, 2015. April 7, 2015. Reflecting on the last 9 weeks of the Library Challenge, I would say that I found the Sirs site and the World book site the most helpful. I never have really used either of these sites before and found them to have a lot of information that I could use and pass along to staff and students. Ancestry Library, Heritage Quest, Sanborn Maps. March 26, 2015. March 26, 2015. I was looking forward to this week! When I searched for my Grandpa-Louis Friese in 1930, he was toward the t...

March 23, 2015. The topic I looked up was Holocaust WW ll. It probably isn’t a topic that should be appealing, but I have always found this subject very interesting. The Ebook that I clicked on was “Meditations of a Holocaust Traveler” I read in the book of Samuel Holocaust means a burnt offering to God. But gradually it came to mean in a larger scale-human destruction. Again a learning experience and I would find myself using this for research. Gale Virtual Reference Library →. February 9, 2015. February 9, 2015. First I went to the Adult Learning Center and decided to test my skills in Math-Yikes! I am a little rusty! I like how it gives you all the correct answers at the end. I found this site to be very user friendly and a great site to go to and get the “cobwebs” off my brain. Great practice tests in any subject! I also found the resume portion to be very informative! A lot of good information for anyone needing to get a resume ready! Lesson 2- Chilton, Mango and Tumblebooks.

Ancestry Library, Heritage Quest, Sanborn Maps. March 26, 2015. March 26, 2015. I was looking forward to this week! When I searched my maiden name from Chancellor, SD and my year of birth, 4,296 hits showed up. I was actually the one on top but the year of my birth was wrong-it had me younger than I am, which is great ;)! I lost my patience with this site, not finding results for many of the things I searched for. I searched Parker, SD.from May 1923-Oct.1935. Since I live in the Turner County...They can ...

February 23, 2015. Good job Ann’s Learning Blog! Lastly I searched the Nursing profession (for my daughter)😉 and there were 5045 publications and when I narrowed it down to journals it brought it down to 824. There are so many articles to read on this subject and so many topics in this field available. Lots of great info at your fingertips! EBooks on EbscoHost →. 5 thoughts on “ Proquest. The Librarian Linz | We all need a little librarian in our lives

We all need a little librarian in our lives. About Me & The Blog. I’m baaack…. Hi everyone. Sorry for my 2…er 3…month hiatus from the blog. You know, holidays and all. Being the researcher I am, I’m currently drowning in The Internet of Baby Information. Are you too? This entry was posted in Uncategorized. February 26, 2015. My whole packi...
