In the winter of 2001 I was sitting in the San Francisco Sunset LDS Chapel holding my new Visor PDA with its impressive 8MG’s of memory and green/grey LED screen. In my right hand was the stylus and I was busy at work assembling a list of hymns that would comprise an album that I was planning on recording someday soon. And his Masada chamber ensembles. I was dealt a blow by my good friend Shawn Foster as he shared with me a copy of an album by The Beehive Band. Which is a group of local musicians and eth...

Monday, November 28, 2011. Cash got sick the day before Thanksgiving. We spent most of Thanksgiving morning in the only insta-care open that day. the weekend continued on, he stopped throwing up thank goodness, and then Saturday, Max woke with a fever. Sunday I woke with a fever and a nasty cough and then this morning, Jack joined the group with a twin cough to mine. Ugh! Here's crossing our fingers, eyes and toes that tomorrow we will all start feeling better. Friday, November 25, 2011. Mmmm, pie 1.

The Life Chaotic: December 2011
http://thetannerslifechaotic.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 31, 2011. So long, farewell. Goodbye 2011. You've been quite the year. While you were loads of fun, I'm kinda happy to see you go. The boys have been sick all of the holiday. I was sick just prior to the week before Christmas and I just feel happy to slowly getting everyone back to their semi-normal selves. Ringing in the new year without anyone throwing up and everyone sleeping through the night sounds like a great way to start the year. Wednesday, December 14, 2011. Saturday Jack is ...

Wednesday, October 6, 2010. The Lower Lights Concert-Guest Post and Photography by Justin Hackworth. Hold your head up high. We lined up Benton Paul and Nic Day and back in September, had o...

The Laine Brain Train: May 2011

Sunday, May 22, 2011. New favorite Sunday music. Especially because it has Cherie Call, Mindy Gledhill, and Stuart Maxfield. Tuesday, May 17, 2011. Back behind Spence's house a ways, we went to shoot some tannerite. Correction, we watched Spence and Tev shoot tannerite. This is a piece of the stainless steel water bottle that the tannerite was in. It was so embedded, we couldn't pull it out. Only caught the tail end of the explosion. The after math of some T.V.s we found sitting around.

The Five Dollar Autism Shoes…priceless…. I’ve said it before and I’ll probably say it again and again and again “Autism is hard. It’s hard on parents, it’s hard on families and it’s hard on siblings.” Do we love our Bridger more than words can ever express? But that doesn’t change the fact that it’s hard. I often wonder about the effect it has on our other kids. How do they truly, deeply feel about having a brother with autism? And THAT, my friends, is what a 12 year old big sister painted on her shoes.
