Welcome to the Lucky Leaf, our family beach getaway in Topsail Island, located off U.S. Highway 17 between Jacksonville and Wilmington, N.C. Lying along North Carolina's southeastern coast, Topsail Island is a 26-mile barrier island that reaches from 500 to 1,500 feet wide. The Lucky Leaf: House Layout

The house is 3 levels with an elevator running up the middle. Here is a quick overview:. The main level consists of the kitchen/dining/family room, powder bathroom and the master suite which contains a king size bed. The garage and basement serve as a mudroom for sandy feet and storage for beach toys. We encourage beach access from this level so as to keep sand from being tracked into other entries of the house. Sunday, August 1, 2010. Earlier this month we spent a week at Topsail Island, NC. It was very sweet. With the help of ibuprofen I managed to rejoin vacation on Thursday. On Friday we visited the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Hospital. Which was very cool. It's a really great place and they do great work for the sea turtles.
