Mad Tin Hatter!: Claymore Swag
http://themadtinhatter.blogspot.com/2015/08/claymore-swag.html
Sunday, 2 August 2015. But this does feel like the first time I have sat down since I got home! Anyway, onto swag. The show seemed busy and had the usual range of traders (but again, not as good a selection as Carronade at Falkirk). Some Daimler Dingo's and an Auster AOP - both bought 2nd hand. 163;2 for all these packs of GZG 15mm Sci Fi troops and 'ships crew' (ala Serenity). Very very nice models and a bargain at that price. Tufts and static grass. as well as:. I may have some tree's winging their way...
Mad Tin Hatter!: April 2015
http://themadtinhatter.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, 26 April 2015. So with the issues I've had trying to track down certain units using Google I thought it might be useful to have a list of units involved. Both for me (although I do have a book! And anyone else interested in this period. It might also give regular readers a bit of an idea of the size of this largely overlooked but vitally important operation. This post will cover the Allies - although I have left out the air force element (84 Composite Group) for now. Order of Battle, 7 August 1944.
Mad Tin Hatter!: June 2015
http://themadtinhatter.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, 28 June 2015. 6MMRPC Update: 4.2" Mortars. My first week back at work this week, and I was full of enthusiasm for painting. Up till I got home on the first day. When I changed into my painting clothes then sat in a stupor looking at my painting desk. This happened every night for the rest of the week! In this case, my 4.2" Heavy Mortar platoon transports. A bit of online research later and I found a local beekeeper who I got in contact with. She came out and managed to gather up a lot of the ...
Mad Tin Hatter!: Battlefront's Berlin book lists
http://themadtinhatter.blogspot.com/2015/05/battlefronts-berlin-book-lists.html
Friday, 1 May 2015. Battlefront's Berlin book lists. Hi folks, I downloaded the newest Wargames Illustrated today, and it has some details on the upcoming Berlin book for late war Soviet and German lists - I thought it would be worth sharing for those of you who don't buy WI. Image from the Flames of War website. Berlin will have 3 Soviet lists:. Again, by the sounds of it a higher rating but small force with potentially limited support choices. Hero Strelkovy Polk (Hero Rifle Regiment). These infant...

The Firefly is that of the 1st troop. Next up. another 4 Shermans! Painting Chart so far this challenge:. 8 August 2015 at 23:24. Fantastic job - and the aerials look great.

Highmarshal Dave's Hobby Zone: One does not simply build an Open Fire Sherman
http://hmdhobby.blogspot.com/2015/02/one-does-not-simply-build-open-fire.html
Highmarshal Dave's Hobby Zone. The eclectic hobby journey of a twenty something Scotsman. Wednesday, 18 February 2015. One does not simply build an Open Fire Sherman. These are ready for painting, once they've had a quick wash, and will likely be next on the desk once I finish the grenadiers. I've also converted up a couple of specialist tanks to fill out the squadron, a dozer Sherman and an ARV. Thanks for looking folks, see you next time! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sunday, 26 October 2014. I have been reading about wet palettes and I decided to give it a go this afternoon. I love wet palettes! I have been taking photos of my work this afternoon, and will compile a walk through of my processes, not really a tutorial but an observation of what I do, that will be up in the next couple of days, only half way through at the moment. Tuesday, 30 September 2014. And a change of scale. First bit of work for the challenge in 1:18 scale. Only blocked in a few basic colours and started to get some tones on the skin. These guys are gonna be a challenge in and of themselves, the sheer amount of paint and work to get her to here was daunting, will have to work on softening those face lines, looking a bit cell shaded at the moment. Busy Week, but still grinding away. So fist up we have my Command Platoon HQ, with the advisers attached to it.

Saturday, 25 July 2015. Right new resolve, it's been too long since I've posted, this week I will change this. I have been slowly working on stuff and trying to figure out a working space in our new house, think I have it sorted now. Mostly renegade stuff to post, and a lot of WIP, but more this week, I have to work in a few hours, damn insomnia. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Nathan "Ironworker" Miller's Miniature Games. Drums of War : Santa was good to me this year.
http://miniaturewardrums.blogspot.com/2017/01/santa-was-good-to-me-this-year.html
A historical miniature wargaming blog. Monday, January 2, 2017. Santa was good to me this year. I've been a bit absent and have neglected the blog in the past few months. Real life tends to sneak up on you that way. I can't complain though because I was able to take a nice holiday break with my family and spend some good quality time with them all over the last few weeks. Not only did the General give me a set of the coolest bookends ever, but added to the military library. View my complete profile.

Notes From A Mad Therapist | Hang on, I'm going to talk about everything.
The Role of Hope. The first two weeks. What I wish everyone knew about my Dad. When “doing better” doesn’t feel better. Notes From A Mad Therapist. Hang on, I'm going to talk about everything. The Role of Hope. August 5, 2015. It’s weird to have waded through a couple of weeks of bleak disorientation and despair only to have some shifts completely settle the wrench in my stomach. I’ve even wondered what I’m doing wrong now that I don’t feel like shit. Because masochism? July 23, 2015. This is what we nee...

Saturday, May 9, 2009. Tour du Rouge - Day 6. Today is our last day. We woke up to a gorgeous Louisiana morning and got the day started right with a hearty breakfast at the Holiday Inn where we were staying. By now, both the riders and the support team had their routines down and everything was working like clockwork. There was excitement in the air as people began to realize that they were on the verge of achieving a goal they had been working towards for over a year. Instead of having to do a long chas...

The Tinker of Tunk Lake | Polymathy gone wrong
The Tinker of Tunk Lake. Shop-vacs, chainsaws, and lathes- oh my…. November 18, 2013. It’s been busy here. I’ve had to wear pants two days in a row. I went to help my friend Aaron today. We shuffled some boat trailers around and I ran my chainsaw for a while. And then I ran off to Bangor, where I had arranged to meet a retiring tradesman, who was selling off his tools. So- the search has begun for a used shop vac. Doesn’t that defeat the point? On the bright side, I won’t have to wear pants tomorro...
