The weather co-operated with some rain, some snow, lots of sun and only two hot days in Florence. The best homemade ice cream is three doors up. Jenny on the front balcony of our home in Manarola. Monday, December 22, 2014. We are now at the Memento Resort on one of Myanmar's most beautiful beaches. It took us 24 hours to "adjust" to the poor condition of the ocean front cabin we are staying in. Everything functions but it is just very old and in need of complete cosmetic upgrades. It is one of two budget options ($55US per night) on this very expensive stretch of sand. And the internet here is amazing! The view from our resorts restaurant. Miles of deserted beach. You can hear the waves 24/7.

It has been an experience that we would not have gotten in a hotel. Very clean but we shared a bathroom with the family and the location was a bit of a walk to restaurants.
