http://themillbrooker.blogspot.com/2013/03/all-aboard-grayhound.html

A miscellany of heaven-only-knows-what along with opinionated nonsense from the largest village in Cornwall. Plenty of silliness, very little of merit and the occasional tirade. Sunday, March 31, 2013. All Aboard the Grayhound. Jah Cousteau has been toiling away helping to prepare his home-to-be and a couple of weeks back Mrs The Millbooker, the High Lord of Southwick (who was a-visiting for a few days) and I were cordially invited to take a peek around. Seen here on her launch day last August. But aboar...

Sunday, April 14, 2013. The latest batch of photo a day challenge from Fat Mum Slim. I have missed a couple of them, but that's life. Like I said before - it ain't great art, but I am having a lot of fun with the gentle daily creative challenge,. This is the set of the production of King Lear that we saw,. 4 This Happened Today.

A miscellany of heaven-only-knows-what along with opinionated nonsense from the largest village in Cornwall. Plenty of silliness, very little of merit and the occasional tirade. Monday, April 01, 2013. NooNoo Does Being Five. Was really all those many many moons ago that Shazzerooneypoos and Dong were around at Millbrooker Towers with Mrs The Millbrooker and me as the news came through that Dozybean had done what comes naturally (although somewhat painfully, I believe). Well, as it turns out, yes it was.

A miscellany of heaven-only-knows-what along with opinionated nonsense from the largest village in Cornwall. Plenty of silliness, very little of merit and the occasional tirade. Sunday, April 14, 2013. Right - first things first: we're hugely looking forward to seeing the regular film clubbers again tonight (except Slocombe because he's away). Now - onward to the presentation. Tonight we are delighted to offer for your entertainment and mild torture. Mikhail Kalazotov's 1957 classic The Cranes Are Flying.

What's The Recipe Today, Millbrooker?: Pollock in Pastis with Fennel

http://millbrookcookbook.blogspot.com/2010/07/pollack-in-pastis-with-fennel.html

What's The Recipe Today, Millbrooker? The Millbrook Cook Book, a selection of recipes and yummy things from the maker of The Daily(ish) Millbrook. Friday, July 23, 2010. Pollock in Pastis with Fennel. I made this one up a couple of years ago when I was cooking in. For the family; simple fresh ingredients and minimal preparation time make it a perennial favourite. It’s damned decent as “posh cooking” for a dinner party, too. What you need (for four people):. 2 – 3 tbsp olive oil. 6 or 8 tbsp pastis. 2-3 t...

What's The Recipe Today, Millbrooker?: Broccoli and Stilton (or Roquefort) Soup

http://millbrookcookbook.blogspot.com/2010/09/broccoli-and-stilton-or-roquefort-soup.html

What's The Recipe Today, Millbrooker? The Millbrook Cook Book, a selection of recipes and yummy things from the maker of The Daily(ish) Millbrook. Monday, September 20, 2010. Broccoli and Stilton (or Roquefort) Soup. Or, indeed, Stilton AND Roquefort as it was last time I made it; we had a little of each cheese in the fridge – so in the spirit of waste-not-want-not I chucked both into the mix. What you’ll need (serves 6 as a lunch or 8 as a starter):. 1 large onion, finely chopped. 1 vegetable stock cube.

What's The Recipe Today, Millbrooker?: Sausage Meat Loaf

http://millbrookcookbook.blogspot.com/2010/07/sausage-meat-loaf.html

What's The Recipe Today, Millbrooker? The Millbrook Cook Book, a selection of recipes and yummy things from the maker of The Daily(ish) Millbrook. Friday, July 23, 2010. An old family favourite; one of Mrs The Millbrooker’s repertoire which she’s kindly copied out for me to impart on these pages. This is a great everyday recipe: quick, inexpensive and very very easy. What you’ll need (to feed four). 1 pack (454 or 500g) sausage meat. 1 large tin sweetcorn. 1 heaped tsp ground cumin. Mr B's Legendary Curry.

What's The Recipe Today, Millbrooker?: Anne's Chicken in Honey

What's The Recipe Today, Millbrooker? The Millbrook Cook Book, a selection of recipes and yummy things from the maker of The Daily(ish) Millbrook. Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Anne's Chicken in Honey. Not a great photo, but it is what we enjoyed for dinner last night. You'll need to adjust cooking times according to what part of the bird you're using. The timings below are for quarters; breasts will cook more quickly, thighs usually benefit from long slow cooking. Powered by Podbean.com. Mix in the curry ...

What's The Recipe Today, Millbrooker?: Spicy Coucous

http://millbrookcookbook.blogspot.com/2010/09/meal-in-itself-suitable-for-vegetarians.html

What's The Recipe Today, Millbrooker? The Millbrook Cook Book, a selection of recipes and yummy things from the maker of The Daily(ish) Millbrook. Monday, September 20, 2010. A meal in itself, suitable for vegetarians, but also great served with a meat accompaniment (we often serve it with a couple of decent quality sausages or a simply grilled pork chop). This is yet another very quick and simple recipe for everyday eating – couscous is very inexpensive and is available in most supermarkets. A vegetable...

What's The Recipe Today, Millbrooker?: Flowerpot Bread

http://millbrookcookbook.blogspot.com/2010/07/flowerpot-bread.html

What's The Recipe Today, Millbrooker? The Millbrook Cook Book, a selection of recipes and yummy things from the maker of The Daily(ish) Millbrook. Friday, July 23, 2010. There are a million and one recipes for home bread making out there. I rather like this non-bread-maker recipe; it’s a bit of fun and makes a real treat at barbecues or dinner parties. Once you’ve got the basic recipe – try experimenting by using seeds and herbs to give extra flavour to the bread. What you’ll need:. A teaspoon of salt.

A starter or a main course. I learnt this recipe untold years ago, it’s a good one for vegetarians as well. Make sure everyone’s ready to eat before you begin cooking the spinach – it really is a very quick recipe! Powered by Podbean.com. What you’ll need. Feeds four as a main course or six-eight as a starter).

What's The Recipe Today, Millbrooker? The Millbrook Cook Book, a selection of recipes and yummy things from the maker of The Daily(ish) Millbrook. Monday, September 20, 2010. A recipe from my old mate BathNick who has recently taken to publishing some yummy recipes on his blog Bath'n'Stuff. Thank you, BathNIck. A triumph of making a wonderful tasty meal out of stuff that’s lying about in the fridge. The recipe’s title comes from the fact that the black pudding used was bought at. Market and comes from.

What's The Recipe Today, Millbrooker? The Millbrook Cook Book, a selection of recipes and yummy things from the maker of The Daily(ish) Millbrook. Monday, September 20, 2010. I made this one up when someone kindly gave us a pheasant, I reckon it’ll work pretty well with any game bird. If I say so myself, it was very yummy. I cooked it in. Using very basic facilities, so all measurements are a bit on the approximate side. What you’ll need (serves 2):. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 4 or 5 tablespoons brandy.

What's The Recipe Today, Millbrooker? The Millbrook Cook Book, a selection of recipes and yummy things from the maker of The Daily(ish) Millbrook. Friday, July 23, 2010. This salad is best if you can make it an hour or two before it's eaten to allow the mushrooms to marinate in the dressing. If refrigerated, it will keep for two or three days, but is best eaten on the day it's made. Note - the photo is illustrative only, I haven't got one of our recipe Rainbow Salad.
