Picture of my eye: May 2012
http://pictureofmyeye.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Picture of my eye. Thursday, May 17, 2012. I am a mom. There are so many things I love about this role. I love the feel of pudgy arms wrapping around my neck for a tight squeeze. I love hearing my name called in high pitched voices from around the house. I love that I'm the first person my kids come to when they have a problem, especially if it's a boo boo that needs to be kissed or a hug that's needed after a rough day. I love that the Lord allowed me this privilege and this joy. I sense the winds of ch...

Picture of my eye: Bible-less no more!
http://pictureofmyeye.blogspot.com/2013/02/bible-less-no-more.html
Picture of my eye. Thursday, February 21, 2013. I was there as an observer. Up until this point, my closest tie to the Yalunka people were the many prayers I offered on their behalf and the numerous stories I heard about them from our president, Greg Pruett. I was privileged beyond words to witness these stories take on flesh before my eyes and the WORD of God come to life among them. Beautiful story.whats the best way to pray for you? Picture of my eye: February 2012
http://pictureofmyeye.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Picture of my eye. Sunday, February 26, 2012. After the traumatic experience of putting an IV in (he was very brave and was pretty easily distracted by a book), they took us up to the prep room for surgery. On the way, Nathan asked Isaiah, "Are you tough as nails? And he said, "K" - which is his version of "okay," which is how he says yes. Nathan then asked if he needed a kiss and he said, "No," but then immediately leaned in for one. He leaned in for several more along the way - it was so sweet. I hope ...

Picture of my eye: April 2012
http://pictureofmyeye.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Picture of my eye. Monday, April 30, 2012. Reflections . . . I missed my normal morning at work since sweet Addy was still recovering from her stomach bug, so I came to the office tonight to catch up on a few things. The time is quickly approaching when the interns will arrive and the chaotic hubbub of Pre-field Orientation and PMI (Pioneer Mission Institute) will be in full swing. The month of June is a very fulfilling, busy season in our ministry. We long to reach out and touch them. To hurt with them.

Angels on the side. Sunday, July 31, 2005. Appalling.inspiring horror, dismay, or disgust. This pastor had me at "appalling". He sites personal experience and several King James references in support of his conclusions: Matt. 7:6; 2 Cor. 6:14-15; Heb. 1:3-4 [. Because rock and roll was a term designated to mean illicit sex. He's obviously passionate about this subject and writes with a conviction in his belly and enough integrity to sign his name along with that of the church he pastors, but it's been a ...

angels on the side: family famine...
http://bethecentre.blogspot.com/2011/07/family-famine.html
Angels on the side. Tuesday, July 26, 2011. Reading an update on the famine in southern Somalia I finally noticed that many are walking for hours in the heat of the sun to find food in Kenya and.Ethiopia. It struck me that my grandchildren might be among those who are hungry and displaced. How quickly the heart engages when it gets personal.it's pretty easy to donate. Posted by ret at 12:09 PM. Picture of my eye: Our Crazy Month of June
http://pictureofmyeye.blogspot.com/2012/07/our-crazy-month-of-june.html
Picture of my eye. Thursday, July 26, 2012. Our Crazy Month of June. Normally, when I'm behind on blog posts, I'll do a quick catch up with pictures, but our month of June was so crazy I didn't manage to get pictures of much more than the dance recital. Here is a snapshot in words of our busy season of life and a couple miscellaneous pics:. Jayden is on the far left. Addy is on the back row in the middle - just to the right of the PBT sign in back. Addy participated in a VBS at a local church that week a...
