I’ve been studying Russian for the past year — I took an intro-level course during my undergrad, and am now using Nicholas J. Brown’s. New Penguin Russian Course. So today marks the day that I was able to write down complete sets of noun endings for masculine, feminine, and neuter nouns in all their configurations (that’s 156 endings! For some reason it has lots of variations and exceptions and I can’t really keep them straight in my head. My course book says that a lot of native Russian speakers have to look up the genitive plural though, so maybe I should stop trying? Posted in I heart grammar forever. It’s been a year… →. Today was the sort of day…. Where I didn’t get through any of the work I planned. I slept interruptedly, so woke up tired and tired does not. Lead to productive work.
