ONE PHOTO OF MUDGEE EVERY WEEK FOR A YEAR. This place is special to me as it has been visited by many generations of my family. My mother and her siblings would walk up here regularly to share a picnic and take in the stunning scene. Saturday’s approaching storm was the perfect opportunity for me to climb the hill for a spectacular view. This shot was exposed for 30 seconds to capture the sheet lightning and I used my torch to light up the rocks and tree to add some additional drama. 2 Comments ».

ONE PHOTO OF MUDGEE EVERY WEEK FOR A YEAR. With the recent rain, many of the creeks and rivers around Mudgee have sprung into life. None more so than the Cudgegong River at Rocky Waterhole; a popular swimming spot for locals. I took this image from the bridge on Rocky Waterhole Road which can sometimes flood during heavy rain. ONE PHOTO OF MUDGEE EVERY WEEK FOR A YEAR. There are are number of Aboriginal heritage sites in the Mudgee region, and “Hands on Rock” is a great example of this. This historic site is located near Ulan and close to “The Drip”. The beautiful sandstone rock formations provide a stunning “canvas” for the stencilled hands and if you look closely there are emu tracks and even a goanna drawing. No Comments ». In this shot, local winemaker Liam Heslop plunges the grapes during the fermentation process. These grapes will eventually become Lowe Wines’ 2013 Shiraz.
