8230;in pursuit of wild things. Sunday Journal: Assessments and Recovery. The kids with their piano teacher on Christmas Day. Two weeks have gone by since sitting down to write a weekly post. I managed to catch a rather nasty head cold just before the end of the year. Headaches every day, congestion, sinus infection, and feeling like my face had been unkindly smashed with a wooded board. I spent most of New Year’s Day in bed and have very gradually improved since then. Buffalo Trace and deep blue sky.

In my little hometown, where we just moved back to this past August, they hold an annual Christmas parade on the 1st Saturday of December. There are craft fairs, and carolers, and often raffles. It is a fun day, so I wanted to share it with family and friends! I spent most of last week baking and decorating, all the while watching the 6 month old Nugget!
