He told me he could bench press 350 pounds, straight bar curl 185 and shrug almost 400 pounds. Then I asked him about his functional strength… how much do you squat, dead-lift, clean or press? 8221; I said, “you are crazy! Dead-lift 2-2.5x body weight for men, 2-2.5x body weight for women.
