Carolyn's Chronicles: July 2010
http://carolyns-chronicles.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 15, 2010. Another month has passed and it's the middle of JULY! Since Kountze, I spent a week in SA packing boxes and sightseeing with my adopted granddaughter, Nicole. Then a week in Palestine with Ian and Nicole (Karen joined us later). Then Lydia and Caleb arrived, Karen and sons left, and I made decisions about paint for my bedroom (next week's project). So after Lydia leaves and I give this house a good cleaning (! September: new baby in AR. And Caleb's 2nd birthday.

The Northwest Branch: September 2006
http://northwestbranch.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 10, 2006. Saturday we went to the Zoo! It was a family day sponsored by Pam's company,. Just a few of the highlights -. We came nearly nose to nose with two very large sea lions. I was impressed with how big they are yet how graceful. We saw American cougars, hippopotamus, rhinos, monkeys, bears, tigers, and more. We sat for a bird show and watched turkey vultures, and bald eagles, fly over our heads, and were introduced to many other native species as well. Wednesday, September 06, 2006.

Did you know that Portland is called the "Rose City"? But chief among them - and anyone who has visited or lived in the Northwest knows this - has to be the rhododendrons. They are simply breathtaking. They are everywhere, every yard has several, and are spectacular. And they did so well! We have been ...
