Mostly because I am lazy, and I don’t have my stuff together enough to get my shopping done before December. But, partially it is because the whole thing rubs me the wrong way. Don’t get me wrong, I get the appeal of a good deal. I don’t have the biggest holiday budget, either, but Black Friday is just too much for me. All the people. The chaos. The lines. All for what? After being on the road the last 2 weekends, it was nice to stay at home, clean house, and do laundry. Crazy, right? I kicked off the weekend with a pedi. Past 2 Weekend Wrap-ups. Since I never got around to wrapping up my weekend from last week, you get a "twofer" this post! MS embarked on a new adventure on the 31st. He moved away from everything he knows and away from a place where he is very comfortable. CH and I drove 11 hours to help him move into his new home. Wednesday, 19 August 2015. I have been so scared to make Yorkies for such a long time now that they have almost reached legendary status. I found this recipe and tried it to make Toad in the Hole and it worked perfectly! Not as difficult as I had feared! 1 cup of flour. 1 cup of milk. 1 cup of eggs (I find 3 fits in my cup). 1/2 cup of water. Vegetable oil - enough to cover the base of each well in your pudding tray.
