What was to be the Interview Sorbetto | the occasional craft
https://theoccasionalcraft.wordpress.com/2012/10/22/what-was-to-be-the-interview-sorbetto
What was to be the Interview Sorbetto. I thought I might as well keep to something simple and free (a la Sorbetto. Rather than buying a new pattern to test my sewing skills. I figured it shouldn’t be too difficult to draft a few extras to it when you’re still a complete sewing novice right? I liked the idea of having a peter pan collar and adding some little sleeves, like in this version here. I found a free download for a peter pan collar from Sew News. When I printed the collar pattern out, it looked a...
Bucket Hat | the occasional craft

Another item for my daughter from the Oliver S. I used some lovely Liberty Thorpe H Tana Lawn. Material and plain green fabric that was left over from her quilt. I measured her head and her measurements fitted the size 2. However, I decided I’d make the size 3-5 as it was going to have ties to help secure it to her head, it should fit for longer than just one summer. I tell you I’m glad I did as I really can’t see her still fitting into it when she’s five years old! It’s still a rather snug fit. Beautifu...
A little Sorbetto for me | the occasional craft
https://theoccasionalcraft.wordpress.com/2012/07/18/a-little-sorbetto-for-me
A little Sorbetto for me. Top (free pattern download from The Colletterie. I bought the light cotton material from Elegance. In Derby which I think was about 7 a metre. I absolutely love the colours in this fabric. I forgot to buy matching thread, so used some fuschia pink thread I had left from the bird wings. Which I quite like the contrast against the green background. If what I have said makes sense to someone reading this, I would be very grateful if they would clarify for me! 17 responses to &ldquo...

A journey into the guts of the Indian Subcontinent. Thursday, 3 November 2011. Sri Lanka - Cultural Triangle / Death by Temples. We had been to Anaradapuya the ancient capital, and Sigariya with its 600m high magma rock, that was an adventure to climb, before ending up in the the hill town of Kandy for a couple of days. In between we had walked out of a guesthouse that was filthy and ended up in another that was only marginally cleaner! Each time the large bowl was repalced you could see them nudging eac...
