Big Visual: Fine Lines
http://bigvisual.blogspot.com/2009/11/fine-lines.html
Nov 19, 2009. I'm always impressed by artists who can just sit down and draw a smooth, consistent pattern or texture as if they see it clearly before them and are just tracing over it. I just discovered the beautiful work of Luke Ramsey. His stuff has a great range to it, from graphic semi-cubist stuff, to more sketchy street-art. Ramsey's work reminded me of Theo Ellsworth. A sequential artist with a similar feel to his lines. Theo's compilation of Capacity. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Square Knot - smitten by a knot
http://smittenbyaknot.com/square-knot
Smitten by a knot. For the love of micro-macramé. Lark’s Head Knot. The square knot is very simple to do, just remember the old adage. Right over left then left over right. I started by attaching 2 (blue) cords using the Lark’s Head knot onto a (pink) horizontal mounting cord. Take leftmost cord and place over the horizontal cord, then underneath all cords and up through loop on right. Pull both knotting cords out and tight. That’s 1/2 of the square knot, also known as a Half Knot. Marion – jewels ...

The (purple) horizontal cord is used for mounting the lark’s head knots. Cut lengths of cord appropriate for your project. Fold cord in half forming a loop at center. From the top, slip loop under mounting cord and bring ends of cord over mounting cord and down through loop. Comments feed for this article. Your email address will not be published.
