Can I taste it now? Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Tea at Crown and Crumpet. It's February and Munch and I are on Mid-Winter Break, or as I grew up calling it, "Ski Week". So she and I grabbed the opportunity to get to one of our "must-visit" destinations: Crown and Crumpet Tea Room. Snow White joined us for the day. We saved ourselves a drive by taking the ferry into San Francisco. Munch loved chatting up the ferry workers on board and spent most of time battling the bay breezes-. First stop was Miette.

Adventures in our Kitchen. Friday, September 25, 2009. Lemon Cream Pasta with Chicken. Yet another success from allrecipes.com. Here's the recipe. I had some leftover heavy cream, bowtie pasta, a lemon and some thawed chicken breasts. Type all those ingredients in and this is what allrecipes gave me. Here are the seasoned chicken breasts before going in the oven. I only had one lemon so I saved it for the sauce and used lime juice on the chicken for baking. Links to this post. Thursday, May 21, 2009. Redwoods grow taller than any other tree species in the world. These trees thrive in the cool foggy climate near the coast. At Muir Woods the average age of the redwoods ranges from 400 to 800 years old. There is nothing like a peaceful walk through Muir Woods. When I moved to bay area from Florida, Muir Woods became my favorite spot to breathe in nature. It still amazes me that the fifth largest city, San Francisco, is only a few minutes away from the nation's 10 th. I had such a...

California All the Way: Day 2, er, 3: Salt Lake to Lincoln, Nebraska
http://californiaalltheway.blogspot.com/2009/04/day-2-er-3-salt-lake-to-lincoln.html
California All the Way. Tuesday, April 7, 2009. Day 2, er, 3: Salt Lake to Lincoln, Nebraska. We had forgotten it was Sunday, and not much is open in Salt Lake on Sunday. I didn't have the energy to do much anyway, and spent most of the day in bed. Scout enjoyed an extra day's reprieve from the dreaded carrier. Below is a picture of Scout chillaxing on the sofa in our hotel room. From the snowy mountains, I-80 winds into an area that looks kind of like the Old Thunder Mountain Railroad in Disney World.
