Since its part of the celery family- which I have never been a fan of, it doesn't surprise me that I never encountered it before now. I am now using celery more in soups these days and Celeriac chips dipped into baked Camembert is heavenly.

It’s amazing how much detail people can get into the sand, and even more amazing that they’ve held up so well under all the rain. Life on the go. June 16, 2009. On Tuesday I was supposed to catch the bus from Invercargill up to Christchurch. This is a long way – I caught the bus at 8:45am, and was not supposed to be in Christchurch until 6:55pm, so almost 12 hours later. The snow started falling almost immediately after the bus left Invercargill, and by the time we hit Clinton it was a blizzard. I was one of the nine people on the Intercity bus the article mentions.
