the wagners five: aging
http://thewagnersfive.blogspot.com/2013/01/aging.html
Monday, January 28, 2013. The other night it was just her and me at home; everyone else was off at some function or another. She asked if she could watch something on TV and since I was still halfway dead with the flu, I happily obliged. Without thinking about it, she informed me that she was going to get on Hulu and watch Modern Family. Season 4, episode 7. the one where Haley gets arrested. Because that's her favorite episode ever. Sometimes it's not easy seeing her grow up so fast. Somehow, he determi...

the wagners five: December 2012
http://thewagnersfive.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 31, 2012. Today, on this last day of 2012. We celebrated "fake Christmas" at home with all five members of the family, (tiny, itty, bitty) snowflakes and all! We welcomed Avery home, and enjoyed all of her gifts (seriously, give a 12yo some spending money and the girl will SHOP) and photos. From all accounts, it sounds as if she had a spectacular time. We deep-cleaned two of the kids' rooms to make room for all of their new stuff, which feels like an awesome way to start a new year.

the wagners five: three years
http://thewagnersfive.blogspot.com/2013/03/three-years.html
Monday, March 18, 2013. And here's big girl Josie, at the ginormous age of five (same park, but with slightly reconfigured playground equipment):. Hmm (one hand) stifled-air school full of other kids germs with no rest and constant stimulation verses (switches hand) fresh air, relatively empty playground, easy natural images to take in, and close to mama. You okay mama! March 18, 2013 at 11:34 AM. Oh and I really need to cut Vs hair. It is chock-full of split ends and, I think, its longer than Josies!

the wagners five: sports photography = HARD
http://thewagnersfive.blogspot.com/2013/02/sports-photography-hard.html
Sunday, February 03, 2013. Sports photography = HARD. I signed up for a Sports Photography class last night that had us ice-level shooting the Portland Winterhawks. I left the game (match? Very disappointed with 700 mediocre (at best) photos. I didn't even look at them until this morning because I knew I hadn't captured anything remarkable. I spent much of the afternoon (Super Bowl, what Super Bowl? Whittling that number down to 602, then 359, and now 98. February 4, 2013 at 8:11 PM. 12, 7th grade. New M...

the wagners five: good riddance
http://thewagnersfive.blogspot.com/2013/02/good-riddance.html
Friday, February 01, 2013. February 1, 2013. Dear January 2013,. You sucked. For just about everyone I know, you were the worst month on record. Illness, injury, heartache, sorrow, money problems, etc. The list goes on and on. Thankfully, we've turned the calendar page to a new month and left you in the dust. The sun is attempting to shine (in other words for anyone outside of the Pacific Northwest, it's not raining) and I'm feeling good about the month ahead. This is awesome - agreed! 12, 7th grade.

the wagners five: January 2013
http://thewagnersfive.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Avery's got a dance show at school tomorrow night- a combination of polished choreographed pieces and more casual tap, ballet and jazz demonstrations from each of the three advanced classes. The video above is just a tiny piece of the rehearsal for her tap class demonstration (the whole thing is 20 whopping minutes! I also taped her choreographed piece but it's about a billion meg so I have to decide if it's worth waiting all day for it to upload or not. Stay tuned. Fast forw...

http://thewagnersfive.blogspot.com/2008/08/another-one.html
Wednesday, August 27, 2008. BTW, while we're on the topic of teeth, you should go check out Cayden's cameo photo on this author's blog. About half-way down the page). She asked to use the photo that he didn't know I had even put up on our own blog. He wasn't exactly thrilled to see this new development, but I think he secretly thinks it's pretty cool. :). My kids are opposite of yours! Congrats Cayden and I hope the tooth fairy treats you well! August 27, 2008 at 9:32 AM. August 27, 2008 at 10:09 AM.

the wagners five: random
http://thewagnersfive.blogspot.com/2013/02/random.html
Thursday, February 28, 2013. An assortment of random thoughts keep flooding my mind:. What if some of the kids don't get out of the classroom in time? What if there's a fire at home and someone is in the shower? What if she's asleep and there's a fire and she doesn't hear the smoke alarm? During the same visit, the dentist pulled me aside very seriously, in the middle of Cayden's check-up. I was concerned at first but then he told me that I only had to pay half-price for him because he doesn't have.

the wagners five: tough day
http://thewagnersfive.blogspot.com/2013/03/tough-day.html
Tuesday, March 19, 2013. Yeah, seriously not taking into account. I remember how Annekes face crumpled when her beloved preschool teacher retired. these things matter! But Ive worked on the other side, too: an underfunded agency with high turnover despite caseloads of children whose biggest therapeutic need is stability. Ive been part of those insensitive agency decisions. bleah. sorry to hear about this. March 20, 2013 at 9:05 PM. Poor Josie. She does not look happy - though shes trying. 12, 7th grade.
