The Taunton studio was opened by Karen Pearce in 2000. After a career as a professional ballet dancer she trained and qualified to teach Pilates with. Alan Herdman in London. Karen and her team work closely with local Osteopaths, physiotherapists and surgeons to eliminate posture related pain, help post-operative rehabilitation and generally improve muscle balance. The Bristol studio opened in October 2012 in a contemporary new premises in central Bristol. The Bristol studio offers mat and equipment classes. The training course is based at The Physiotherapy and Pilates Rehabilitation Centre in Clevedon, North Somerset. It covers all aspects of Pilates teaching from basic mat work through to advanced studio work using Pilates machines. The use of the studio whilst training is included in the course fee. On completion of the course successful students will be awarded a Pilates Studio Teacher Training Certificate in affiliation with Alan Herdman Pilates and based on the teachings and concepts of Joseph H Pilates.
