Tuesday, December 11, 2012. Wordless Wednesday: 1st Birthday and 4 Generations at the Nutcracker. Welcome to Wordless Wednesday! This weekend was a big one! On Saturday, we celebrated Patrick's first birthday. (as well as our first Nursiversary! I mean it IS December and all. Links to this post.

Saturday, September 29, 2012. HOLD THE PHONE: It's National COFFEE Day? It's National Coffee Day! How did I let this slip? It's National Coffee Night. It's like I missed my own anniversary or something. At least I'm not the only one. Had I known, I would have gone out at relished in my love of all beans roasted and cashed in on all the free coffee. Being given out today. I missed free coffee! Probably missed free coffee. There could have been a handful of parents just that one. It is for me! And home rem...

http://theprogressiveparent.blogspot.com/2013/02/really-universe-wow.html
Tuesday, February 26, 2013. I need to vent. I had a CRAZY hard weekend, beyond simply my grief and hectic family life. Our last day together, we spent on the hours-long journey to pick Tobin up from school. It was sunny, I was running early, (Trust me, that is a miracle. I just wish I could have traded it for another that day.) Patrick was in great spirits, singing to the trees (He literally would sing, "Laaaaaaa la lala laaaaaaaa! My heart is in that carseat. It seemed like the perfect day. I had no...

Friday, December 2, 2011. Let's Start At The Very Beginning: A Progressive Perspective On Birthing. Well where IS the beginning? (And if it's not TMI right off the bat, I'm 40 weeks as of today, I've been 4cm dilated for a week and 3 since two weeks before! So what does birthing mean? When and why and how did we somehow let go of the fact that childbirth is a miracle? With looks ...

The Progressive Paradigm - Championing Progressive Ideas and Causes
Championing Progressive Ideas and Causes. Honoring South Carolina Victims. I’m saddened by the tragedy that took place in Charleston, South Carolina. Indeed, this should be labeled as an act of terrorism. We must acknowledge and understand the perpetual racial divisions that still persist in our country today in order to adequately move towards a post racial society. Alas, Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing fathers around the world, and especially to the victims of the South Carolina tragedy. We sell ...
