Food, Festivals and Events. Food, Drink and Event Reviews. May 26, 2015. Sheridans Irish Food Festival. Last weekend saw the sixth S heridans Irish Food Festival. Take place. It's an event we have been attended every year, rain or shine. Thankfully this year was one filled with lots and lots of sunshine! Clearly we just spent the afternoon wandering around the stalls and stuffing ourselves with all kinds of differnent food! The home haul included desserts from What's for Pudding. Panna Cotta is a traditional Italian dessert made by simmering milk, cream and sugar, mixing it with gelatine and allowing it to set. It is often served with berries, fruit coulis, caramel or chocolate. Here I have chosen to make a classic vanilla panna cotta with a raspberry jelly as a fun little taste of dessert and a nice burst of colour! Or 2 whole jarred roasted peppers. 1 x 400g tin chickpeas. 2 tbsp olive oil. 2 cloves garlic, crushed. 2 tsp ground cumin. 1/4 tsp cayenne chilli pepper *optional. 1 tbsp tahini paste.
