The Pursuit For Fitness. Blogging my way back to fitness! Wednesday, 27 August 2008. Again the prom beckoned last night. Seems to be a handy run as it was getting a little dark by the time I got out. A little colder today as it was a bit later but the wind was less. Felt slightly stonger on the final kilometre (despite the sore leg and cold) so feel good about it. The Pursuit For Fitness. Blogging my way back to fitness! Sunday, 31 August 2008. Tonight I went out quite late and was going to do my normal prom loop. Set out and felt alright all the way to the turning point opposite Hoyle Road. Feeling good I kept on going all the way to the end of the Prom and touched the wall and straight back. Started feeling a little tired on the way back just past the new http:/ www.hoylakelifeboat.org.uk/. But then after the tennis courts I was ok again. Distance: 6.61 km.

When I got onto the prom the wind was right into my face but it wasnt cold. Anyway tough getting up to the turn and was tired coming back. Put the stopwatch on this one to see where I am at. I ran the Park Loop again today without any intention of "going for it", especially considering that it was a warm sunny day. However, for some strange reason, I was going well and ended up completing the 4.45km distance in a time of 19:25, which is my best time for almost two years! 277 miles in 19:25. I managed to get three runs in along the prom walkway that is 1 mile long (plus 43 metres to be exact), so I did multiple shuttle runs there and back. At 8:50am wearing No.2 and in the first heat of twelve referees, I began my 12 minute Cooper's fitness test at the Wigan track, where the minimum pass distance was 2,500 metres (1.55 miles). Considering the time it was extremely warm indeed. 2,980 metres in 12 minutes. 185 miles in 12 minutes. 214 kcals, 178 HRmax, 173 HRavg.
