Tuesday, June 22, 2010. I asked Gyasi what he wanted to do for Father's Day this year and he said he wanted to go to the Dallas Zoo (where he used to work and where lots of our friends still work). Knowing it was going to be 100 degrees outside, we rushed to get out the house as early as possible on Saturday morning. We got down there around 9:30am and had a great time! Gyasi and Amare admiring the penguins- wonder how they felt about the heat? The boys on the elephant statue- Adrian, Julius, and Amare.

These are two of the girls that I got to know during the day. Brandon is teaching this kid a little bit of English . Mariko and me at the beginning of the day. You can see the orphanage's playground behind us. This was the whole group of volunteers - great group of people! It was actually organized by the guy in the green, Danny, on Facebook.

Monday, March 31, 2014. Best games of the season. We had basketball at 10am and soccer at 2:15pm. The girls did amazing at both games. Ava had several break aways at basketball and scored 5 shots. Grace was a beast on offense and deffense. She scored 3 shots. Soccer was a great game for all the girls on the team. Several had their best game of the season. Day 4 We walked to school this morning. Well, I walked and they scooted. First week is over and we had a great one. Huge difference from last year.
