Wednesday, 4 January 2017. Saturday Getaway to Nyon. A few weeks ago, after a busy week, we could not wait for the weekend to arrive. So, that Saturday morning, we hurried out of the city to take a good breath of fresh air elsewhere. We headed to Nyon. Nyon is a charming small city situated between Geneva and Lausanne. I like the old houses on the alleys of the Old Town of Nyon. It was superb. I’m such a fan of these mini getaways. Doing simple, silly things that beautify our days. Happy New Year 2017.

Thursday, 28 July 2016. We spent a wonderful and very special day in Fátima, visiting and walking around filled with an indescribable peace of spirit. To get there, we took the “Expressos Bus” from Lisbon, which is a pleasant and quick trip, just one and a half hour’s drive. The town itself is not beautiful: it is full of guest houses, hotels, restaurants and souvenir shops for the many pilgrims. We were glad to attend the Mass that was held at the sanctuary. Monday, 29 February 2016. Do you recall my "Heidi Country" post of last August? Back when it was hot and the meadows and the mountains were lush and the sky blue and white. You could see the cows eating amid wild flowers and lavender. Well here's what it looks like in winter: equally magnificent when covered with its white blanket. B E A U T I F U L! Two weeks ago, it was the school holidays here, so we took the opportunity to take these pictures (with sweetheart's aging compact camera, a Sony VSC-1).

Tuesday, 10 January 2017. Hello ladies and gents. I hope that you are okay and that you had a nice weekend. Mine was excellent! On Saturday I resumed my Saturday routine (spa swimming). On Sunday, when I got up, I saw that everything was covered in white - it had snowed in my pretty little town - so I jumped out of bed and went for a walk. In fact, when it is snowing, it is not cold. It is the day before the fall of snow that it is very cold and chilly. And. I leave you with my photo gallery of that day.
