Skip to main content. Really Useful Things to live a more independent life. Our products are more than just Really Useful - they also look good and fit in with everyday life. For example, instead of having a special two handled mug or beaker why not accessorise the mugs you already have by adding a DUO handle for that extra grip and stability that comes of being able to hold your mug with both hands? For details of where to buy our products please go to the 'Where to Buy' page.

Uniflow Drinking Straws
http://www.reallyusefulthings.com/Uniflow/one_way_straws.php
Skip to main content. Uniflow straws have a valve in the base which keeps the liquid in the straw between sips. They help to reduce air intake when drinking through a straw and are ideal for those who find it difficult to maintain suction on the straw. They reduce the flow rate of the liquid, allowing you to take smaller sips which can be useful for people with dysphagia (difficulty swallowing). One way straws can't be used with fizzy drinks or thick liquids. See Uniflow in action!
DUO - The extra handle for mugs, glasses and bottles
http://www.reallyusefulthings.com/DUO/duo.php
Skip to main content. DUO is an ergonomic clip-on handle that allows you to hold a mug with both hands. Holding a mug with two hands increases grip and stability when drinking; DUO provides this benefit whilst also allowing you to use the same mugs as family and friends. DUO’s wraparound style protects hands and fingers from hot mug surfaces, whilst its unique clip on design makes it easy to attach and detach without fuss. See DUO in action! Click here for our DUO Youtube video.

Strawberi - Smart Straw Holder Clip
http://www.reallyusefulthings.com/strawberi/strawberi.php
Skip to main content. Strawberi is a straw holder that holds the straw securely against the side of the glass, allowing you to drink hands free! It is ideal for anybody who prefers to use a straw to drink, or for anyone who may find it difficult to locate or steady a straw. It is also great for keeping a straw in a fizzy drink! To use, simply put the straw through the straw hole and clip the strawberi over the rim of the glass. It also works really well on bottles and plastic beakers. Sold in packs of 5.
Flexi Drinking Straws
http://www.reallyusefulthings.com/flexistraw/flexi_straw.php
Skip to main content. Flexi straws are soft, tough silicone straws that are flexible along their entire length. They are ideal for anyone who bites or chews on the straw as they don't tear easily. They are also softer than a normal straw and won't hurt the inside of the mouth if accidently pushed, while some users prefer the more tactile feedback of the silicone. Flexi straws are 33cm long but can be trimmed using sharp scissors. They can be washed and reused.
