Sulla cartina delle Alpi Apuane ci sono molte cime non toccate dalle linee rosse dei sentieri; e spesso si tratta delle più alte e conosciute: Pisanino, Pizzo d'Uccello, Grondilice, Contrario, e tutta la lunga cresta del monte Cavallo. Blog di montagne e scalate. Lunedì 24 marzo 2014. Balzo delle Rose - Appennino modenese. Io e dave abbiamo passato tutta la settimana a scriverci messaggi su dove andare a sciare Domenica (scorsa, il 16). decidiamo per un posto facile in Appennino ma che si differenzia dal pdv paesaggistico: il Balzo delle Rose. Già Spalla me ne aveva parlato diverse volte così, quando vado a noleggiare gli sci, gli propongo di unirsi a noi ma l'età, si sa, non fa sconti a nessuno. :). Prima discesa e prime cadute :).

Col suo corso divide l'Appennino ligure da quello tosco-emiliano, e allo stesso tempo unisce il nord col centro Italia. Da sempre via privilegiata di comunicazione, ha visto i pellegrini percorrere la via Francigena; le carrozze lungo la strada napoleonica della Cisa; i treni sfrecciare Pontremolese; le auto stracolme di emiliani diretti al mare la domenica lungo l'A15.
