Your Source for Permaculture Design in a Temperate Climate. What is a Temperate Climate? My Birding Life List. In my years of studying about Permaculture, I have often been a bit frustrated with the majority of the authors. They are all living and writing and designing in the tropics and sub-tropics, or are doing amazing things in arid climates. I plan on living in a temperate climate where it snows occasionally where I can’t grow bananas! As Permaculture is about design, just about anything that deals w...

Maintenance | Green Karen LLC

Restorative ecological designs require maintenance, but not in the typical lawn-mowing, herbicides applications, automated sprinklers and synthetic fertilizers kind of way. These fruitful systems over time require less maintenance, but for the first few years, proper weeding and mulching is crucial. Additionally, these systems contain a diverse collection of plants and it requires a keen eye to distinguish a weed from an intentional planting. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.
