Sunday, 8 March 2009. Jesus throws the money changers out of the Temple. What is the 'Temple' for Christians? It isn't equivalent to 'the church'. Is it the human body - "the temple of the Holy Spirit", or something different? We name lots of places as places to worship God, but there are many un-named as well. Friday, 20 March 2009. More springlike weather today. Although most of my memories of spring don't involve springlike weather. Maybe the meaning of the word is more aspirational. Weather like we think spring ought to be, rather than like it usually is. It sets us up for disappointment. Maybe some of our church language does the same.
