FAQ @ Brent Pennington: Photographer
http://brentpennington.com/about/faq
You’ve got questions, I’ve got…well, you get the picture. How should I prepare for my portrait session? It’s easiest to work from the most-complex look to simplest, so come in your nicest outfit/hair style/makeup. That way you start fresh, and as the session continues you can simplify and relax with each change. Can I change my hairstyle/makeup when I change outfits? Do I have to smile? Can you edit my photos to remove blemishes? I wear glasses – should I wear them in my photos? If you always wear glasse...

8220;Working with Brent Pennington was such an easy and fun experience. Not only was Brent able to get Russ to smile for the camera (despite the natural inclination to make zombie faces), but his approach that the photos should be natural and representative of the real. You Brent really went above and beyond to ensure our photos were perfect. Even though that meant running though a park in the pouring rain to capture the perfect shot! The most difficult part of the process was waiting to see the prints!

Portraits of Love @ Brent Pennington: Photographer
http://brentpennington.com/blog/portraits-of-love
Feb, 14 2015. The absolute best reason to make a portrait is out of love. Whether it’s the love one person has for another, or the passion someone has for a cause, or the sheer love of creating great images for a team. Now that’s love! The photos came out the way I had hoped and she looks simply stunning. It was a successful test shoot for me – I got to try a new technique and get a feel for how it works, so that next time I use it I’ve got some experience to call on. Looking for fine art prints?

Bonfire at the Iron Furnaces 2014. Nov, 19 2014. Click to view larger. Although I only just got around to sharing the photos from last year’s Bonfire at the Iron Furnaces. This year’s event has already passed and the photos have been shared elsewhere, so it’s high time they appear here. During an intermission I was able to grab a few photos of fire-twirlers putting on a demonstration. This is the sort of thing that’s just plain fun to photograph, since it presents the challenge of capturing the fire ...
