A day here and there. Thursday, March 14, 2013. People and Places of Sacred Valley, Peru. I was enamored by the beautiful handmade textiles and starting plunking away some hard earned dollars when half way through I realized that a good portion of the textiles being sold there were machine made in some factory (probably in China), at which point we made a hasty retreat but not before i captured the colors. While we were struggling to get back up to the ticket booth at the top most level of the laboratory...

A day here and there. Friday, May 24, 2013. Sanctuary in the Heavens.Huyana Picchu, Peru. It has taken me a lot longer to get here than anticipated. You see, I have been in a creative slump. What's so creative about pulling out pictures from a hard drive and placing captions, you ask? My newest accessory is a pair of computer progressive glasses. They are never to be found once off my face and I need some creative ideas on where to store them so I can find them and no! Well, the walk itself was intriguin...

A day here and there. Wednesday, October 19, 2011. A little bit of Gujarat in Jersey. Lets get one thing straight : Garba is NOT Dandiya. Dhintak Dhintak, Dhidhanda, Dhintak.or close to it is the beat of every breath in Gujarat during Navratri nights. Having lived in the US for more than a quarter of a century, Navratri is the only time of the year when I truly miss my hometown of Vadodara India. I am bit of a garba snob.yes, I admit it! And despite all odds, I made it! Dancing the Vadodara Style. Walkin...

A day here and there. Sunday, September 25, 2011. Surprise Sunny Morning at Sourland Mountain Preserve. What a great time of the year with cool crisp air and long straited clouds! Last evening just as the sun set over the horizon, the sky was a fiery red and I trespassed on to the local golf course to take this image. A large puddle of water morphed into a lake when viewed through the lens. What a perfect reflection! But I digress, let me get back to the lazy Sunday. Coming back to the trailhead we saw a...

A day here and there. Saturday, June 9, 2012. Our next few days in Istanbul followed a wonderful pattern of sunshine, downpours, sunshine, downpours and so on.
