For that reason, we are not going to drive buses anymore, but use a 24' straight body truck which can be locked. Since we will have to pay about $45 a foot to ship, a 24' truck will be cheaper to ship than a 44' school bus and will hold supplies better. It will also be more efficient for smaller loads.

A recent addition to our list of projects is our assistance to three children’s baseball teams in Masaya, made up mostly of poor children from the streets and barrios of Masaya. These children now have new uniforms, equipment from the Martha’s Vineyard Little League, and have traveled to compete in El Salvador, Cuba, Venezuela and Panama. Senor Mario Andino, past presidente of the San Salvador Noroeste Rotary Club, introduced me to this poor rural fishing village of about 10,000 people.
