The Fox Confesses: April 2013
http://thefoxconfesses.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 19, 2013. The Foreign Becomes Familiar. The Seoul subway is simultaneously my favorite and least favorite form of transportation. Depending on the time of day, it is either a smooth, quick, and efficient way from here to there or a harried, nauseating meat-packing facility on rails straight out of a claustrophobic's nightmare. Skype is made of magic. In a related vein, the fact that I even have an ass at all is probably going to be a problem when it comes time to shop for pants. Cherry blos...

The Fox Confesses: A Place in the Sun
http://thefoxconfesses.blogspot.com/2014/01/a-place-in-sun.html
Friday, January 10, 2014. A Place in the Sun. In Seoul, autumn is short and winter is sudden. As November is still finding a foothold, our brief excitement of trading flipflops in humidity for boots in brisk air is ended before spark has a chance to fade. Autumn's brevity is a precious gasp air in our lungs - we'll be holding our breath in the dark until spring brings promise of the surface. We named him Cecil. That was on Bohol, where we saw a good bit of sad aftermath, i.e. centuries-old church...The b...

The Fox Confesses: Summer Blues and the Ghost of Snow
http://thefoxconfesses.blogspot.com/2015/07/summer-blues-and-ghost-of-snow.html
Saturday, July 18, 2015. Summer Blues and the Ghost of Snow. I sit at the kitchen window, staring at the cat. It's hard to believe I'm here, that the cat is beside me, that this window is one I can consider mine. We are back in Seattle - home -. But we've portioned off too many pieces of ourselves and left them in enough corners of the world that now, home. It takes longer than a plane ride to catch up. It takes longer than the fall to land on your feet. Regardless, it feels good to be back.

Happy Birthday, Husband. Simple Sink Console →. May 21, 2012 · 5:11 pm. So, last October, I signed up to get a trainer at my gym, 24 hour fitness. She taught me how to eat and what to do, and I realized that I had been doing everything completely wrong. Yes, I was eating a salad, but with all of the cheese that I had on it I may as well have ordered a Big Mac. My first question to anyone who has successfully lost weight has been “how did you do it? BTW, as my dear friend Stacy. It’s basically a sea...

Category Archives: Renovation Realities. August 10, 2015 · 9:00 am. Time to bring on the “before” pictures! As I mentioned in my previous post, we recently purchased a new home (mess). Located more in the heart of Los Angeles than our last home, our 1940s fixer currently sits at 1130 square feet and is a two bedroom one bath. For any Los Angeles locals), and he and I have come up with some great solutions to maximize the floorpan and really make it work for our family. Lets break this down…. In this bath...

The Fox Confesses: November 2014
http://thefoxconfesses.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 28, 2014. Belated Blogiversary: Slurring Toward Epiphany. Thursday, November 6, 2014. Shrapnel into the Ether. The older I get, the dumber I feel. It seems contradictory to be hypersensitive of such a dulling, but there you have it. I fear being forgotten, and I have picked up the unfortunate habit of ostracizing myself even further when it happens. I ran 100 miles in about 40 days. Now I don't want to stop. Experience and age are not the bedfellows I believed as a child. Some people...

Pedicure Day for the Bathtub – Old Paint Design
http://www.oldpaintdesign.com/2012/05/07/pedicure-day-for-the-bathtub
May 7, 2012. May 13, 2012. Pedicure Day for the Bathtub. Well, dudes and dudettes. I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that my new claw foot tub. Has been delivered to the house to the tune of $325 (which included delivery). The bad news is, this sucker is going to take a lot more than a weekend to finish. I was so wrong about how much it would take to get chubby tubby into shape. But, in the meantime, here's our progress. As you can see, there was still quite a bit of caulk left on...
