Amelia June's battle with JIA: REMISSION!!!!
http://junebugsbattlewithjra.blogspot.com/2013/12/remission.html
Tuesday, December 31, 2013. Friday we had a rheumy appointment and we've officially been classified as being in unmedicated remission! I wasn't expecting this until next month, I thought that the timeline was the same as medicated remission, 6 months after stopping a medication. More good news is she's nearing 30 pounds and is in the 50th percentile for her weight and we don't have to go back to see the rheumy for 6 months! 65279;. It's like a whole new beginning, we can just be. Amelia June survived ...

I Stand All Amazed: May 2013
http://scorpi07.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
I Stand All Amazed. Watching time fly has never been so miraculous. Thursday, May 2, 2013. The Tri-Valley Arthritis Walk. Is a few days away and I decided that Team Emma should show some unity by dressing alike. Em's favorite color is pink, so I asked everyone to wear a pink shirt if they have one. Then it occurred to me that neither Barry nor Liam have pink shirts. What to do? I did a little online research, watched this video. And tested my luck. Please ignore my backyard.). I'm so proud of this one!

http://scorpi07.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
I Stand All Amazed. Watching time fly has never been so miraculous. Saturday, August 31, 2013. How Is It (almost) September Already? My little Liam is 13 months old. He is so much fun and has quite the outgoing personality. Tooth #5 is currently making it's appearance. He folds his hands for prayers. Cutest. Thing. Ever! He loves his daddy. This kid is a climber and likes to get into and onto anything. Thankfully, he hasn't attempted to climb out of his crib yet. *Knock on wood! My Emma-Bean is doing rea...

Wednesday, January 25, 2012. Yesterday Bevin went in for her quarterly Ophthalmology appointment with Dr. Ruben (who is great) and she was fully cooperative (the first few appointments she would not let him exam her eyes! Everything looks good, eyes are clear and we go back in 3-4 months to do it all over again! Monday, January 16, 2012. Jumping into the New Year. We had our first Arthritis Walk meeting on the 3. And I am so excited to be getting into the full swing of this year’s walk. More updates to c...

Bevin’s Adventures with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis: January 2014
http://bevinsadventureswithjra.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 29, 2014. So we went in for Bev’s check up with Dr. Radhakrishna at the end of November, her first in person check-up in six months…and wouldn’t ya know it, he found swelling in her knees. And oddly enough the left knee was more swollen then the right knee (her right knee has always been her prominent joint). So, 2 days short of being 6 months in remission she officially came out of remission and got a brand new RX for Naproxen, MTX and a WHOLE box of syringes. Our 7 year old son; he i...

Bevin’s Adventures with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis: June 2011
http://bevinsadventureswithjra.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 9, 2011. We finally have our Team Pictures! Monday, June 6, 2011. The 2011 walk is officially at an end. I thought it was about time I updated everyone on our 2011 Arthritis Walk fundraising total and how we got there. Our official total was $3,304 (YAY! That was raised due to a mixture of donations (mainly), recycling and some items we sold. The recycling actually raised more than I thought it would, but definitely did not come close to the support we received via donations. And it made t...

Thursday, August 4, 2011. Mom Next Door-Dandelion Magazine Fall 2011. In May I was nominated to be the Mom Next Door for Sacramento Parents magazine…well after hearing my nomination, Sac Parents passed our story onto Dandelion Magazine (Sac Parents Special Needs Publication) as they felt I would be a good fit. Their editor, Melanie, contacted me immediately and asked if I would be willing to be in their fall 2011 issue…which of course I said “YES! You can also find it online at:. Were on pages 32-33).

I Stand All Amazed: February 2014
http://scorpi07.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
I Stand All Amazed. Watching time fly has never been so miraculous. Friday, February 21, 2014. February Is One Heck Of A Month. My cute little family has been passing colds around since mid-December and I, for one, am sick and tired of being sick and tired. Last week it was Emma who had a cold with an incredibly runny nose, cough, and low-grade fevers. Now it's Liam's turn. I'm glad I stayed home from work today to take care of him, because he has a double ear infection! 18 months: 25 lbs 11oz. And havin...

I Stand All Amazed: November 2013
http://scorpi07.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
I Stand All Amazed. Watching time fly has never been so miraculous. Saturday, November 2, 2013. Liam is 15 months old now. Do you know that Emma was 15 months old when her arthritis showed up and broke my heart and changed my world? I know my kids are very different and will have very different struggles in life, but that doesn't quiet the little, nagging fear in the back of my mind that Liam is going to wake up one day with a stiff, swollen joint. Compared to an average child (Whatever that means! This ...
