July 23, 2015. Why Lifting is an “Unloseable” Sport. For most of my childhood, I was an athlete. I competed at high levels and was constantly pushing myself and my team to be the best; to win the game; to be successful! It was a win or lose world and I had a win or lose mentality. When I discovered the world of weightlifting during college, I loved it! Finally, I could compete again; only this time, against myself. I could see my body improve both in strength and physique. My perspective was all wrong.

I’m all about flexible dieting. Being. Cautious about what you’re eating just causes extra anxiety (which ironically causes weight gain) so I look at it like this: Is what I am eating effeciently fueling my body?
