The Stark Family Adventure: FIRST STOP IN LAOS, VIENTIANE

http://thestarkfamilyadventure.blogspot.com/2011/02/first-stop-in-laos-vientiane.html

Sunday, February 6, 2011. FIRST STOP IN LAOS, VIENTIANE. Why is it that you always find out really interesting stuff just as you are about to leave? We arrived at the Inter City Hotel. Located on the Mekong River dividing Laos and Thailand. It's just a hop, skip and a jump across the river to Thailand but you have to drive 24 kilometres to get to the crossing. The hotel reception is just beautiful, like an art gallery. After getting set up we headed out for lunch. Dave, sour pork ribs. SIEM REAP DAY ONE.

The Stark Family Adventure: December 2010

http://thestarkfamilyadventure.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Friday, December 31, 2010. NEW YEARS EVE DAY AMSTERDAM. Sofie also wanted to go ice skating for her birthday so just before lunchtime we set out in search of a winter wonderland. The beauty of being located smack bang in the middle is that we get to walk everywhere and see all the sights along the way. Man, this city is laid back ;) It's good times, easy times, and all times in between. Anyway, we're heading out for dinner now and all excited about letting these suckers off. We arrived at our hotel, Dikk...

The Stark Family Adventure: SIEM REAP DAY ONE

http://thestarkfamilyadventure.blogspot.com/2011/02/siem-reap-day-one.html

Tuesday, February 1, 2011. SIEM REAP DAY ONE. What a great day in Siem Reap. With nothing officially planned today we played it by ear. After breakfast we hit poolside. Dave and Jayden mucked around. I caught some rays. And Sofie relaxed and read a book. Around 12.30 pm we took our first tuk tuk. And headed straight for lunch at a really cool cafe where we sat lounge style. Time for a bit of market and souvenir shopping. We then headed to Buffalo Tours. A shot at dinner of a loving couple.

The Stark Family Adventure: PHOU SI HILL

http://thestarkfamilyadventure.blogspot.com/2011/02/phou-si-hill.html

Wednesday, February 16, 2011. Right in the centre of Luang Prabang town lies a set of steps. 138 steps and then another 190 steps until you reach the top of Phou Si Hill. Where you can see magnificent views over the town and surrounds. Where sits many golden buddhas and other statues. Apparently the best time to go and view is sunrise or sunset but Dave went in the afternoon whilst I had a nap. Labels: Phou Si Hill. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. The Stark Family Adventure: DAILY ALMS GIVING TO MONKS

http://thestarkfamilyadventure.blogspot.com/2011/02/daily-alms-giving-to-monks.html

Sunday, February 13, 2011. DAILY ALMS GIVING TO MONKS. Luang Prabang is considered a holy city in Laos. In Buddhism, the Monks receive their daily food from a ritual, held very early in the morning which is called giving Alms. Being the morning person that I am I wasn't going to miss this opportunity to partake in the ritual and made Dave get up too to take some photos and video. Approached by a Laos lady I bought my food; sticky rice and crackers for 15,000 kip (under $2). February 15, 2011 at 8:50 AM.

Saturday, July 31, 2010. I had so much to write about but now I'm tired and have forgotten most of it. Dot points will have to do because I can't be arsed elaborating:. Blogger fucking pisses me off sometimes. Should have learnt Wordpress. Fuck it, I've given up washing everything in bottled water. Tap water and drying with a teatowel. Will have to suffice. I'm over cooking with minimal cooking instruments. It takes so God damn long to feed everyone. Dave and I work great as a team. I fancied a bit of ch...

Monday, August 30, 2010. Is it because I am one of the few my age to realise there is something greater than ourselves out there? Am I still seeking and searching? If fear of turning into a religious nut turns you off you just have to think of me cause did my previous post sound anything of the kind? Friday, August 27, 2010. In the theme of keeping it real I'm gonna type as my brain dictates. I'm in the pub, 50 metres from home, and up to my 3rd glass of NZ Sauvignon. Guess what I did today? Scoop, a de.

Wednesday, July 8, 2015. March 20, 2015. Poor Dawson, I was gone to my sisters reunion in Arizona on his actual birthday. He was such a good sport about it. Our sisters reunion was planned while I was out of town, so I didn't get a say in when it was. It was also Taylors birthday while we were gone. So James and Alyssa decided they wanted to throw a party for Dawson and Taylor. I know these boys will never forget this birthday. Dax gave him this little Book of Mormon with this cool little case. There was...
