The Crafty Conundrum: September 2012
http://thecraftyconundrum.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 26, 2012. This time I finally have more of a crafty project rather than a foodie one. I am now a leader in the Young Women program in our church ward and was put in charge of doing up the invitations for this year's New Beginnings night. It's basically just to welcome any new Young Women who are moving up that year, for those of you not of my faith who may have no idea what I'm talking about. Anyway. Take one doilie and fold one side over - not in half. Maybe a third? Then you'll nee...

Tuesday, October 23, 2012. Foodie Friday -Pumpkin Snickerdoodles. I found a new twist on an old classic from Six Sisters' Stuff. I love Snickerdoodles, so I just knew I had to give this pumpkin version. A try I am really enjoying all of the PUMPKIN recipes out there at this time of year. There's something warm and comforting about it once the leaves start to fall and the weather gets chillier (is that even a word? Then wrapped it up to let it chill in the fridge for a while. Pumpkin Snickerdoodles (Recip...

The Crafty Conundrum: February 2013

Friday, February 15, 2013. Foodie Friday and Valentine's Day! Well I'm not going to lie and say our Valentine's Day wasn't at all perfect. I was sick with the flu that's been going around so I pretty much laid on the couch most of the day. And I didn't feel up to making a nice pancake breakfast like I usually would on a special day. I made heart shaped pizzas for dinner. Paul got put to work in the kitchen grating cheese and chopping meat and peppers for the pizza. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Br/ center ...

Wednesday, January 2, 2013. Almond Toffee (as seen on So You Think You're Crafty). In case you missed my guest post at So You Think You're Crafty. Back in December, here it is (in all its glory . haha). So let's get started. First you butter a 10 x 15" jelly roll pan. In an electric frying pan, combine light corn syrup, sugar, and water. Set the temperature to 360 F (180 C). Keep stirring and cooking until the almonds are brown. The dipping takes a bit more skill and patience while you learn how to "temp...

The Crafty Conundrum: March 2013
http://thecraftyconundrum.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 7, 2013. What I've been doing lately. Well, it's definitely been awhile since I last posted. Let me catch you up on the goings on in my neck of the woods. My spleen was enlarged and liver inflamed. So at least I had an answer but the only "cure" was lots of fluids and rest. I'm finally on the upswing and all the symptoms are gone -except that I'm exhausted! I shared with you before) with pink/purple icing (my yummy Buttercream Icing. And sprinkles. They were DELICIOUS! Basically, I just s...

The Crafty Conundrum: Chloe's Princess Birthday Party
http://thecraftyconundrum.blogspot.com/2013/01/chloes-princess-birthday-party.html
Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Chloe's Princess Birthday Party. We just had Chloe's 4th birthday party this past weekend. She wanted a Princess party - complete with a Cinderella carriage cake and Sleeping Beauty piñata. The girls all seemed to have fun. First we made magic wands. They are super easy. All you need is wooden dowels, foam stars, glue and decorations (rhinestones, stickers, sequins, beads, buttons, foam shapes, etc). So many princesses. and one lone knight to protect them all! Hi, I'm Megan.
