A blog about art, design, life, and other phenomena. Laquo; Beautiful things…. Mud, fire, and camel crickets. March 20, 2012 by theswanart. Fairhope Arts and Crafts Festival was this past weekend and I absolutely loved every minute of it. Fairhope is one of my new favorite places to visit – I’m sure I’ll be back again soon. My booth was at the corner of De La Mare and Section Street. What a refreshing person she is! Did the doctor mistakenly detect four heartbeats? It doesn’t quite come together. When we...

the perfect grey: February 2012

http://theperfectgrey.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Friday, February 24, 2012. I think I'm a couple years late to the Tolix Chair. Party, but I've been seeing them everywhere lately and I LOVE them. The chair on its own would normally be a little too industrial for my taste, but paired with a rustic farm table, it's. Husband has promised to make me a lovely dining table for our porch, out of some old doors from the house. My next step is to convince him how PERFECT these chairs would look with it. Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Be sure to check out the.

Just another WordPress.com site. Easter, Flowers, and First Blood. April 26, 2011 in Uncategorized. April is one of my favorite months in the garden. The first roses and peonies bloom, and the green shoots of summer plants seem to grow by inches every single day. Every morning these past few weeks the Sprout and I have gone outside to pick roses. She likes to eat the petals. I can see the appeal – they do smell like they might be tasty. A Cup of Jo. Fly Through Our Window. I am Fuel, You are Friends.

Harvesting | burlapandtwine

https://burlapandtwine.wordpress.com/2011/07/28/harvesting

Just another WordPress.com site. July 28, 2011 in Food. I’ve long been an advocate of every season BUT summer. Hot, humid, languid, permanent afro — none of these qualities are particularly endearing to me. However, while there are rewarding things about gardening in the spring and summer, there is something about a summer garden that is steadily transforming me into a summer lover. And as a side note, is there any fruit prettier than a fig? 8 cups of figs. 1/2 Tbsp baking soda. 6 cups of boiling water.

Haute Home Cooking: Sunday Brunch

http://hautehomecooking.blogspot.com/2011/02/sunday-brunch.html

There was an error in this gadget. Wednesday, February 23, 2011. So, we all know how much I love brunch. So much that I’ve dedicated at least 30% of my blog posts to the subject. And I’m proud to say, I have a new favorite spot… Little Savannah. It was love at first bite. Oh, who am I kidding, it was love when they didn’t question the red Solo cups of Prosecco that accompanied us into the restaurant (nothing to see here, folks). It just got better from there. Ten minutes later we were enjoying TWO dishes...

the perfect grey: March 2012

http://theperfectgrey.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html

Tuesday, March 13, 2012. Just when I thought I was on a blog-posting roll, I disappear for three weeks. I blame it on yardwork. And also Daylight Savings Time. How is it that one measly hour can make me feel like I've lost a week of my life? Anyway. Turns out I STILL don't know how to use our new camera (remember when I promised some "almost-after" shots here. I took about a hundred pictures of our kitchen two weeks ago (on a lovely day with great lighting! This recipe is a keeper. Garlic clove, minced.

the perfect grey: June 2011

http://theperfectgrey.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Sneak Peek - The Butler's Pantry. I couldn't resist posting a little sneak peek of our butler's pantry, which my wonderful father-in-law finished painting over the weekend. I was absolutely THRILLED when I first saw it during our initial walk-through of the house.just one of the many great features of an older home. I also have what some might call an "unhealthy obsession" with china and wine glasses, so I've got plenty of things to fill it with. :). Monday, June 27, 2011. Oh, the...

the Swan and the Snake

The Swan and the Snake. This is an experiment in storytelling. Every Sunday you will witness the unfolding of the story of a man who has very little idea of what he is doing. At the end of every story, I will ask you a question. That question and the answer will have a direct impact on what happens around him and how he responds to them. We wish him good luck, and we wish you good management. 2012 2015 Powered by Tumblr.

The Swan and Tomato. May 27, 2010 · 11:27. I’m actually really excited to try this one out. I think I may add lemon or lime juice to the recipe when I whip up a batch. One of the girls at work told me about the awesomeness of lemons-as-deodorant, and the internet. Seems to back her up. No-sew patterns are my favorite (I’ve yet to buy a sewing machine) and I’ve made variations of this one on two of my old shirts and love them! I’ll probably make more as the weather keeps heating up. And these are adorable.

A blog about art, design, life, and other phenomena. What influences you to create? May 7, 2013 by theswanart. I have had an absolute ball getting back into pottery this past year. I think most artists would agree the most fun part of creating is the designing. Creating the same thing over and over can be a little brain numbing. I have (I think) two major influences on my designs. I love all things French flea market. Here are some of my recent finds online that I aspire to translate into my pottery:.
