Saturday, August 2, 2014. We just took a big drive down to Wichita, KS and back. There are lots of pictures and stories to post, and I won't try and put them all in order. But, here is what we saw! Lots of funny roadside gems. All the kids are great at making an adventure out of anything! We spent some time in Iowa, visiting the Des Moines sculpture garden and the Iowa capitol. And of course, Kelly, Eli, Todd and Patrick. Missed you Anna! Look how tall that Iowa corn is! Des Moines sculpture garden.

Sunday, September 22, 2013. The girls had their preschool orientation last week. They were super-excited - no shyness whatsoever. Orientation means that parents stay there, so we got to observe the girls on their first special day. Zahra really loved the big collection of squash and gords in the classroom. Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Well, January has come and gone and GOOD RIDDANCE! Most of our days looked like this, or worse:. Yikes The kids have had FIVE cancelled school days this month, which felt like 100. Thankfully grandma and grandpa are here, otherwise we would have missed a lot of work. To top it all off, the girls had Croup for over a week, and missed even more school because of that! What do to when it is this cold? I guess that's the one advantage of -25 degree temps. We made indoor s'mores.
