The misfortune of my life is perhaps that I am interested in far too many things and not decidedly in some one thing; my interests are not all subordinated to one thing but are all co-ordinated. Soren Kierkegaard as quoted in The Prayers of Kierkegaard. This is passage isn't a prayer). Posted by Stejahen at 11:31 AM. Mmmm, welcome to the world akin to ADHD. Texas, United States. Tuesday, January 25, 2005. I'm about to go to bed, and I thought I'd blog first. I am in such a peaceful mood. I'm not entirely sure why, but it's great, I'm never like this. It seemed to start as I was driving home from Corpus in the moonlight listening to the last half of the Hours soundtrack (by Phillip Glass). It was beautiful, and I felt good, and healthy, and un-stressed out. While I'm waiting for the internet to connect, I may as well write more. Posted by Stejahen at 9:30 PM. Saturday, January 08...

Does the sentence “I ran a marathon” contain a transitive verb or is it prepositional? The proposition is implied. Where did you run? A marathon. Apparently “marathon” can be used to describe a distance as well. What did you run? I ran a marathon. Context. Stupid descriptive grammar. I’m Reed Fish. The Road Not Taken. The Immortal Wanderer: To Finish
http://theimmortalwanderer.blogspot.com/2008/05/to-finish.html
Juan Espera a Dios. Sunday, May 25, 2008. He tells himself. He must finish! He has the strength to hang on and therefore he has the strength to try. He is roped, making the consequences of failure purely mental, yet he carries on as if the stakes were mortal. His body is racked with pain and exhaustion, but he perseveres, his mind overcoming his physical anguish. His battle is between mind and body. This is how I feel right now. There is no giving up. I have to press on. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
